My truck was stolen from a dealership lot, where is was for about 4 months on a consignment sale. My truck was found 4 days later, 2 hours away in another county, completely stripped, no tires, rims, carpet, seats, dash equipment, etc., nothing left except the dash board with holes. Farm Bureau denied my claim, they said I stole the truck or my Son had something to do with the theft. I have no criminal background, except a speeding ticket for 7 miles over the limit, in the last 25 years. I have no financial needs for the theft. I am not in debt, except for my home. After putting an ad on Craigs list to offer a $1K reward that would lead to the conviction of the theft of my truck, I was contacted by someone that saw the photo & thought the truck they were about repair at their shop, had my special "after Market" rims on it. This ended up breaking wide open a 6 county Auto theft ring. The men were caught & they are serving State & Federal prison time, since some items were taken across State lines. Still Farm Bureau came up with another reason to deny my claim. I was rear ended by this car they put the claim on my insurance so they took the deductable 500 out of the est. to be able to get the car fixed. then i had to rent a car. it has been 3 weeks they say they havent recieved a police report to verify how the wreck happened. I WAS REAR ENDED. plus we have the same insurance. DIRECT GENERAL INSURANCE IS A JOKE AND THE SO CALLED ADJUSTER IS DRAGGING HIS FEET 3 WEEKS TO GET A POLICE REPORT COME ON NOW..COME ON JOSEPH KOUVERAS GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO YOUR JOB....

My custom built food concession trailer was damaged in a hail storm. After multiple agumentative hone conversations with the claims rep, Travelers recieved a verbal quote from an out of town trailer repair shop WITHOUT my consent and never actually previewing the damaged trailer in person (this was simply a phone quote never viewing the damage). Travelers verbal was less than $9000; My certified Trailer shops written estimate was $16,310. Travelers quickly hung their hat on their guy who gave the verbal at less than $9K. Then this same company (after actually seeing my damaged trailer (this is Travelers chosen shop) presented an actual written estimate exceeding $21K (this is an expensive trailer)! After hearing this Travelers began the backstroke that their initial verbal was what they would pay! The claims agent who previewed my trailer stated to me when he saw it for the first time "The is the first time I have ever dealt with a Concession Trailer and this will be a learning experience for me!" What I learned from this is Travelers made a huge mistake in their hasty verbal quote and is attempting to shove it down my throat and not pay the full claim! When I worked for a State Farm Agent from 1989 to 2000 we were allowed to apply the over 50 discount immediately on the insured's fiftieth birthday. Now that I turned fifty, I find out that I can't get the discount until my renewal. I want to know why & if this can be reversed & I am refunded the money that is owed to me....

After a week in the hospital for very poor breathing, it was discovered I had mold in my crawl space. I have paid for mold insurance for over 25 years. When the claim was made and the insurance company ( Selective) came out to investigate, the claim was denied. They said that the mold came in fro the cinder block. I have had several water leaks prior to changing over my cooper pipes to pvc because I hav well water which causes pin holes in the pipes. I showed Selective the Mold on the storage boxes, beams etc. but they still denied my claim. If anyone has had a similar problem please contact me at nyy007@VERIZON.NET....

Brent Jenkins is the worst Insurance Agent ever and he and his company provide the poorest customer service.Upon inquiring about a insurance policy and the different options, I am told I have to choose one for approval and then we can change it once your approved. I asked several times before giving my financial information about being able to compare and choose a plan and start date upon approval. I was told several times yes we just need to get the approval first.
Upon gaining approval for my individual insurance and had a slight rate adjustment from what I was quoted, no big deal. I called this guy Brent, who by the way, daddy is the owner. I ask him what are the other rates for the other policy types and I want to add dental. He says he'll call me back tomorrow.
I leave out of town for two seperate business trips and dint hear from Brent. Of course I see that money has been debited out of my account for a policy I never approved or a start date. This was my fear fro the begining and I raised it with him and Vanessa the Customer Service gal (who is also a family member). Sure enough exactly what I though could happen, happened (trust your own judgement).

I have never had to deal with such inadequate people in my entire life. With my first agent I would go in every month with a check.
I started noticing after a couple months that my checks were not being taken out of my account, so I went in and asked him why he wasn't depositing my checks. He said he had never gotten any checks from me and that I had a bill of $800 dollars. So I paid it and canceled all the checks and my bank account. I opened another bank account and got a new agent. He told me that I qualified for numerous discounts that I wasn't getting before. He also signed me up for a life policy that he said would drop my insurance by $35 a month as well. I was paying $225 for my insurance before so I was very excited about all these discounts. I got my first bill after all the discounts were applied and my auto was $280 and my life policy was an additional $40. I went into my agent and asked him why all of a sudden my policy was so much higher after supposed discounts were applied. He responded with, "coincidentally your premium went up at the same time." I have never had a ticket or accident so my insurance should never be going up. I told him to cancel the life policy and refund me the money. He said yes and two months ...

MY CAR ENDED UP TO A TOTAL LOSS.TOOK ME 14 DAYS TO GET A SALVAGE TITLE FOR SETTLEMENT REQUIREMENT. IT THEN TOOK 6 MORE DAYS BEFORE THE COMPANY PAID FOR THE LOSS AND 12 DAYS TO REBUILD MY CAR AND ACQUIRE A RECONSTRUCTED VEHICLE TITLE.
Claimed for loss of use of my car [Van]for 32 days but the company said would only pay only 10 days @ $20 which i felt betrayed and oppressed.
my van is 8 seater and i thought the company would refund loss of use of the Car @ $30 for 32 days.
Please advise....

Somehow the agent thought that I was being condescending. The agent then made sure I waited until closing time before answering my question.
