Brent Jenkins is the worst Insurance Agent ever and he and his company provide the poorest customer service.Upon inquiring about a insurance policy and the different options, I am told I have to choose one for approval and then we can change it once your approved. I asked several times before giving my financial information about being able to compare and choose a plan and start date upon approval. I was told several times yes we just need to get the approval first. Upon gaining approval for my individual insurance and had a slight rate adjustment from what I was quoted, no big deal. I called this guy Brent, who by the way, daddy is the owner. I ask him what are the other rates for the other policy types and I want to add dental. He says he'll call me back tomorrow. I leave out of town for two seperate business trips and dint hear from Brent. Of course I see that money has been debited out of my account for a policy I never approved or a start date. This was my fear fro the begining and I raised it with him and Vanessa the Customer Service gal (who is also a family member). I've been shopping for a health insurance company and I am glad I came across this website. I definitely won't be purchasing a Humana policy! Thank you for posting your experience and saving me from any trouble. I am so sorry that you are having trouble getting a refund...Good luck!

I have never had to deal with such inadequate people in my entire life. With my first agent I would go in every month with a check. I started noticing after a couple months that my checks were not being taken out of my account, so I went in and asked him why he wasn't depositing my checks. He said he had never gotten any checks from me and that I had a bill of $800 dollars. So I paid it and canceled all the checks and my bank account. I opened another bank account and got a new agent. He told me that I qualified for numerous discounts that I wasn't getting before. He also signed me up for a life policy that he said would drop my insurance by $35 a month as well. I was paying $225 for my insurance before so I was very excited about all these discounts. I got my first bill after all the discounts were applied and my auto was $280 and my life policy was an additional $40. I went into my agent and asked him why all of a sudden my policy was so much higher after supposed discounts were applied. He responded with, "coincidentally your premium went up at the same time." I have never had a ticket or accident so my insurance should never be going up. I told him to cancel the life policy and refund me the money. He said yes and two months ... Read More

MY CAR ENDED UP TO A TOTAL LOSS.TOOK ME 14 DAYS TO GET A SALVAGE TITLE FOR SETTLEMENT REQUIREMENT. IT THEN TOOK 6 MORE DAYS BEFORE THE COMPANY PAID FOR THE LOSS AND 12 DAYS TO REBUILD MY CAR AND ACQUIRE A RECONSTRUCTED VEHICLE TITLE. Claimed for loss of use of my car [Van]for 32 days but the company said would only pay only 10 days @ $20 which i felt betrayed and oppressed. my van is 8 seater and i thought the company would refund loss of use of the Car @ $30 for 32 days. I came in to file a mini tort claim and the agent was busy on the phone. No problem. I waited for a short while. Suddenly the agent asked where I was from, which I answered. Somehow the agent thought that I was being condescending. The agent then made sure I waited until closing time before answering my question. two year old bill still unresponsive to my request for an explanation of benifits as required by supplementary..i have concluded take over by lee memorial of gulf coast caused a loss of their records since they (united health),had paid and therefore have no reason to hold up the process. also since there is no other reason to deny this form i must conclude this a fraudlant process.... Delays upon delays. Continually putting the blame for long term approval of every small detail on layers upon Higher level decision makers whose identities remain unknown. Nothing can be handled on the "field" level. Even attorneys can "only carry the message Back and forth as if immediate electronic communication is unavailable. It is clearly a ploy to put more economic pressure on their adversaries and many times Chartis (formerlyAIG) convey that idea smugly. Pipes broke while we were away from home for a few days back in January 2011. Water damage was severe - all of the sheetrock and furniture on the first floor was destroyed. Floors gone. We called insurance company and they said they would send out an adjuster. That was it - no instruction or suggestion as to what we were entitled to under the policy. So we moved in with friends for 10 days and made everyone uncomfortable until we realized that the policy would have paid for a hotel. Adjuster was rude and did not respond to any of our concerns. After about 6 weeks, we were offered a ridiculous settlement that would not have allowed us to repair the house. The adjuster said that one of their construction companies quoted the repairs and would do it for that price. What kind of nonsense is this? Three construction estimates that i got were at least 35-40% higher. I never heard of the company that the adjuster kept pushing and i did not fell comfortable agreeing to use them. That is when the adjuster stopped returning my calls and pretty much left us to fend for ourselves. So we hired a local contractor and a lawyer. I did a search for rates on homeowners insurance and was contacted by several companies. One that I was contracted by was AAA, and when I talked to the agent and gave him all of my information on my house, he came back with a quote of $657.00 a year. My so called agent, which is another story, sent me papers to sign stating the amount of $657.00 and I signed them and sent them back to him. On the designated day, they took the amount out of my account, and said that I would receive my policy information within 10 days. Upon receiving that information, I saw that instead of the $657.00 per year, they wanted me to pay $979.00 per year. They had upped my policy from covering $157,000 to covering $274,035, with another $27, 403 for other structures, which I do not have any other structures on my property, so they made that up by themselves in order to charge even more. Needless to say I was outraged, and called my so called agent, and got the normal, I will look into it and call you back, which I knew was BS, and they had my account number so they could just deduct whatever they wanted. When you take out a life insurance policy you believe that the husband and the wife will have the same end date if the policy is a whole life policy. Not so with Prudential-- my policy covered me until I was 65 years old and then cashed out. My wife on the other hand date did not cash out until she was 83. How I missed this fact I don't know but I did. Another fraudulent thing they pull is back dating the policy so you supposedly qualify for a cheaper rate. They do not tell you that when you hit 65 you must pay an additional year of premiums because of the so called back dating. Let the buyer beware when dealing with this insurance company. In fact it would probably be prudent to very carefully check any whole life insurance policy you may carry.... Read More
