Insurance Complaint against: State Farm Insurance

I have been with State Farm for over 25 years. I currently need my roof replaced for the first time and the adjuster who has been assigned to our case is unprofessional and doesn't call back to a second opinion roofing company we are using. This supposedly experienced adjuster is disputing what two different roofing companies have advised him. There are two roofs on my house and they will both need to be removed. He claims there is only one roof on my house. When my husband tried to call and speak to our agent, he was told we had to talk to this "adjuster". We have never even met this adjuster in person. The couple of times my husband did get a hold of the adjuster, he asked why we are getting a different roofer? Do we not have the right to get another opinion? Can we not ask for a different adjuster? We are getting now where fast. Also, a roof was put on before I purchased the home in 1996 by the previous owner. I have been dealing with Assurant for the last year, on a homeowner issue, and I have been getting the run around, and there not providing me with the information I am requesting. I feel like my public adjuster and the insurance co are working against me, I am really angry about the situation, what really gets me mad is the public adjuster and the insurance co have agreed to a settlement, That they haven't even shared the settlement amount with me, I will be the one to decide if settlement offer acceptable... A client of travelers opened their car door into our brand new $50000 dollar truck, and was totally mean about it, disrespectful of others property. We called the police and they filled out an report charging her with damaging our vehicle. We work hard and saved to get this vehicle. Now instead of replacing the piece over the wheel that she damaged they want to sand it, patch it and repaint it. Hello, the truck is less than a week old. Would you be happy with this, I don't think so. Travelers needs to take into consideration the age of the vehicle. If the vehicle doesn't have but 10000 miles on it when your clients damage it, replace dont repair. This is so wrong... Read More

i talked to insurance commission which was no help.i yet to understand why they are there.my kids father was hit and killed by one of there insured parties .my kids tried to get an attorney.we live in nc he had alcohol in his system according to insurance he had on dark clothes and was not at a cross walk,he usually carried a bookbag with belonging he was homeless by his choice we never found book bag all the belongs but in a clean spot beside road.i asked the insurance company for pictures took at the scene thea told me to send them a letter od administraton or supeona/i sent that through insurance commission/the letter of administration was then not good enough vicky brown claimed she did not know she could not use that letter i asked her before she sent a reply why didnt she check her reply she is only human.i asked her to send the letter of administration back to me.she said i can do that for you.i waited a week no letter.she also told me that same day i will have the legal department call my son no call,again she says she is only human.this law in nc 1 percent your fault and 99 percent other smoke screen so they do not have to pay but one day they will have to answer to a higher power i tol vicky brown there is no company wor... I will hit while sitting waiting on the side of the highway with the flasher on (car had stalled), when a car rear ended me on the side of the road. The car was a total loss. Fred Loya insurance company is now refusing to paid for the property damage. This all happen on June 13,2013. They say do to the fact that they never took pictures they have nothing to go on. I had an acc. in April went to my insurance trying To take care of things I found out that I had been charged money for a point that should have never been on my record when I found that out was trying to get my money they were delaying the process the agent never called me back I always had to call him. So finally when it's been going on and on I said that I was going to call the news station and having to go to another office to try to clear things up and get my money that I was owed I finally got it. And I have automatic deductions my payment wasn't taken out so my husband went to the office the agents said he had to go to another office out of his way because the problems they don't want to take care of.... I advise everybody go to another company. The insurance company is unitrin by Kemper. And stay away from Pecos office there horrible... We were informed from Tower Hill Insurance that our homeowners was not to be renewed this past June 2013. We were with this company for many years. This was related to a claim we filed when our pipes under the foundation broke. We then obtained new insurance with UPC Insurance and recieved a letter today NOTICE OF CANCELLATION. This letter does not say why they are cancelling us. Therefore, we called our agent Larson Moraes of LIG Insurance Group Corp to find out why. We were told that the tree in the front of house has branches over the house that is why we are being cancelled. If notified we could have paid to have the trees trim like we have in the past. This is a complaint against Aetna Dental Insurance. I am in the process of having a lot of dental work done. Even though they have been happily receiving my premiums every month, they are denying me what I want to have covered. They want me to get partial dentures or regular dentures which means, I would have to have all of my other healthy teeth pulled. So what if dental bridges cost more, isn't that what we pay insurance for? they are worried about keeping the consumer's money in their pockets, when we have paid them much more than we are asking for in return. How dare they say that they won't pay after I have given them so much money. I think all of these insurance companies should be investigated and charged with fraud!... Read More

I called Allstate for help , I walked into a gas station and I must have left my car keys on the counter and somebody else picked them up, I asked for assistance and I had to call Allstate 4 times , they gave me phone numbers to a locksmith that did not work , they would not send a tow truck to tow my car home, I also have road side assistance but they tell me it would not cover cutting a new key for the vehicle, basically they left me stranded.... I began trying to obtain flood insurance from the Allstate agent who writes my homeowners insurance on July 2013. My mortgage co. Is requiring this coverage and time is of the essence. I followed my agents directions and got an elevation certificate on July 12 2013 and mailed to agent that day. Agent calls me the next week and says photos with certificate need to be in color. I sent color photos immediately. Did not hear from agent for 2 weeks so called to see how things were going. Turned out they "forgot" to send my Application in. As of August 31 I still have no flood ins. Due to many mistakes by agent in application process. The agent is ever in his office and his secretary can barely answer a phone Much less remember who I am or what I need. I am now in touch directly with allstate and at expense and time I cannot afford I am trying to fax info to them because agent failed to do his job!... Read More
