I felt like an imate waiting for sentencing. I did not recieve a rental and I pay for that service. I was told that my care is a parasite. I was haggled. The adjusters act as if they are getting paid some of the deductable. The adjusters are working with there shops to get them money even if they are not sure or cannot repair the issues.... Read More

I have been involved in the personal injury end of auto insurance for the past 13 years. I have to say, beyond a shadow of doubt, that American Family is absolutely the worst possible insurance company anyone could have to protect themselves and their loved ones as far as car insurance goes. In the most recent instance, Lori (the adjuster) and her supervisor (Minh) are not only rude, ignorant, arrogant and non-cooperative, but when they try one stalling tactic that doesnt pan out properly they move forward with another. I just had the displeasure of speaking with Minh and she treated me like I was a child. She would give me no information on the status of the 5 month delayed claim and told me, the treating physician to whom the money is owed, that I would need to speak with the attorney. They made the patient undergo an adverse examination (which the doc said the patient needed care to a certain date) and then have continued to deny payment for services rendered. This has happened on at least 100 patients in the past year and a half and has gotten to the point where we are strongly advise ALL clients to stay away from American Family.... Read More

I have had Traveler's insurance for my home and car for over 23 years. I just got a new bill -- they raised my rate over $600 per year (my new rate is $823 per 1/2 year; my rate 6 months ago was $515 per half year). What was their excuse? -- A speeding ticket last year -- which was a little over 10 miles per hour. Since when do speeding tickets affect insurance rates? Especially when my rate is maybe, at best, 1 every 3 years. I have had no accidents or claims for years. First of all, my occasional speeding should have nothing to do with my insurance rate. I could understand car accidents, but I made no claims for years. I have turned from 70 to 71 in January. While the ostensible reason is a traffic ticket (which has never affected my insurance in years past), it is basically age discrimination.... Read More

I CHANGED OWNERSHIP FROM MY TRUST TO A CO-TRUST WITH MY WIFE. MY OTHER INSURANCE COMPANY, NEW YORK LIFE COME TO MY HOME AND MADE THE CHANGES AND WE SIGNED THE FORMS. HE THEN SAID IT WAS NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE BENEFICIARY. I NOTIFIED W & S AND THEY SENT A FORM. Son was rear-ended by a State farm client who was tailgating him on a canyon road. State Farm client was given a citation by police for following too close and was found at-fault by police. State Farm took a statement from their insured but no statement from my son or his passenger. They did not get a copy of the accident report. They found my son at fault in less than half a day and refused to pay for our damage. I finally found someone at State farm who said the investigation was handled inappropriately and that they would lose if the case went to arbitration. She reopened the claim, got a copy of the accident report, took a statement from my son. State Farm reversed the decision, but they still found my son 30% liable so they only paid for 70% of the damage. My insurance company (USAA) also investigated and determined that the State Farm driver was completely at fault.... Read More

This company swapped coverage rates on my two vehicles and put me at a much higher rate. i paid my insurance for six months in advance.i bought a new car in may and they sent a bill for increased premium which i paid.i bought a new truck in july and they sent another bill for increased premium which i paid.then they swapped coverage on both vehicles (both have same coverage except truck is insured at a lot less mileage because it is hardly driven)this swap made both policies go up and they sent me two more bills which i paid.then i called them and found out they had swapped the coverage and told them to fix back.they sent me back 12 dollars on truck after i paid over 90 dollars on the two bills sent.on my car they sent another bill for 118 dollars.at this point i called another insurance company and was quoted a rate of 50 percent cheaper then i was being charged.i canceled both policies on july 19.they sent a check on the 23 for 197 dollars on my car after i paid over 800 dollars (had used 3 months/half of premium).i did not recieve anything on my truck.i have called over 15 times since july 23 and as of today august 25 policy is still not cancelled and have not been reinbursed.every time i call the agent i am told that the zone ... My home that I had lived in 40 years burned. It was an old wooden home, so it burned fast. They said it had been started by someone pouring something on floor. They found no solvent in carpet wood or even dirt under house. Sled said it was not arson, but electrical. Allstate questioned me, gave two statement, one to an attorney. They told me they found no evidence of arson, but left arson as final decision. Would not give me a copy of investigation. Took almost a year for them to pay.... Read More

AAA insurance held our estimates for auto repair against their system. AAA issued a check $150+ lower than the lowest claim to repair our car. AAA says the after market parts are good enough and repainting instead of replacing a damaged grill will be fine. How long do you think a painted grill will hold up? Ha ha ha... then the agent told us to sue their insured for the rest of the money. Very unprofessional AAA agents. What a liability they must be to the company! I feel sorry for the people that have big claims that have to deal with AAA jokers.
