Insurance Complaint against: Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association

I work for the State of Minnesota. Yearly ( Nov.) we have open enrollment to change medical insurance couriers. I changed my primary MD, by clicking on the area which states to. I did not Go to my Primary MD until July of this year. My claim was denied by BCBS, stating that I never called BCBS to let them know that I had changed my Primary. I was never told I had to do this. After multiple conversations with BCBS I was told I was to read the EMANUAL that is on the state web site. Now grant all employees can change insurance co., Everyone that chose not go with BCBS has not had any of these problems. With other carriers, employees can change their primary MD monthly on line. For some reason BCBS I am now told is not connected with that State in that way. I was told I was to check my medical card to make sure it was correct. I never received a medical card , When I spoke with HR through the state of MN, I was told that I was not to worry everything is updated at the time of open enrollment. Now BCBS wants 10,000 dollars for my annual Physical, blood work and 2 simple procedures. There are now other things that BCBS will not pay for the X-rays when I fractured my knee and arm. I purchased "Agreed Value" insurance for my 1979 450 SL. The Agreed Value is $32,300.00. I was involved in an accident on October 19th, 2014. I submitted my claim. It was a hit and run accident and my car was totaled. My vehicle was taken to a very reputable auto body repair shop that has been in business for 50 years. The Insurance adjuster works for Assurant specialty Company and they handle the claims for American Collectors Insurance Company. They have exceeded the legal time limit to settle my claim, have tried to pay me off with a check for $7000.00 due to so called depreciation etc. which does not apply to an "Agreed Value" policy. They have requested the repair shop to do a complete breakdown but refuse to authorize payment for this and the storage charges. it is now going on 50 days since the claim was submitted and they continue to use stalling tactics, give excuses for paying less then the "agreed value" which would not apply to my policy definitions and they do not answer or return phone calls for days. I have informed them that I plan on notifying the Dept. of Insurance in all three states that they seem to be doing business from and I feel if they cannot pay the "Agreed Value" then they must be insolvent and should ... Sedgwick CMS cancelled my workers compensation claim. This was based on complete lies, they hired a crazy quack Jefery C. Ritholtz, D.C. then destroyed my life. Sedgwick totally stped on my rights, and should be out of business.... Read More

My home had a water pipe burst up stairs and flooded the top floor and rain down stairs which happen in the last week of April, after a five week dry out they started the work which was different from what they said that would get fixed, instead of doing the repair they tried to patch the house together than fix it, they said that the house would get repainted instead they would paint the walls in the room but would not paint the closet which is the one of the four walls in the room, they had us pick out color paint for the house and would only paint lest than half of the house, other wise we would have picked matching paint. I had to pay out of pocket to paint the rest of the house, there was a lot of damagers to furnishings and shoes and to this day has not been reinbursted for our losses and it now the end of November and I have asked for updates to which a don't get a replay hale of the time, this is my last chance to get help with my problem the list goes on... I noticed hail/wind damage to my roof some months ago. I can't remember the actual time frame when I noticed roof problems. In early November I notice leaks on ceilings in my home. Leaks in roof and attic were noticed by 3 different contractors providing other services to my home. Creative Home Improvements, were the first business to notice problems with my roof. Adjuster, with Erie, inspected my roof on 11/14/14 and state there was no damage from hail and I was told it was a SHINGLE DEFECT. After I told him 3 other companies told me I had roof damage from hail/wind he told me he would talk it over with his supervisor and let me know. He then called to tell me would have his own inspection company come to take a look at roof. This was performed on Wednesday, 11/19/14. Around 12:30 that day he leaves a message and tells me he and the inspection company will both take a look at my roof. I'm wondering why an Erie's insurance adjuster has the authority to provide their own inspection company to inspect my roof AND ADJUSTER, IS PRESENT WITH THE COMPANY WHEN THE INSPECTION IS DONE??? I have had VPI insurance over 6 years. When first becoming a customer VPI had excellent customer service and paid their claims in a timely manner. This company is NOT what it used to be. The claims representatives are rude. They do not tell you what is really going on. They take you around and around and never really tell you the truth of the matter. Just yesterday, I spoke to them about a claim I submitted, I was told this. On the claim I submitted for $220.00 that I would only be reimbursed for 76.5. When it clearly states that special tests such as allergy test are reimbursed at $135.00. Well, there explanation was that there was a $50.00 deductible. That was the reason I was only remimbursed and then they only paid 90% of the cost after the deductible was met.But on the claim for there was nothing about a deductible of $50.00. I talked a coupld of friends into signing up with VPI and heard from them that issues were coming up about their claims also:( Then they put me over to sales and told me there was much better plans I could choose from. Really poor service. Used some random small reason to decline coverage/settlement of claim. They expect you to make unhappy clients while you wait for the Hiscox to figure out how to handle their claim. Unprofessional and rude. This company should not be used for business errors/omissions insurance if you are in the market for such service. They will not help you and even sound condescending in their claims dealings with you. Laura was the person I worked with and I have to say I was not happy with the outcome of this. I have been the this company for nine years, and before ten years, during this time I never file a claim until June 2012 a bad storm with hail, wind and very heavy rain , I call agent office and request If someone could inspect the roof, and adjuster stated there no damage due to the storm and no action taken. I went to my agent office to discuss my policy ask all question regarding coverage , state my policy would cover any damages or replace due to wind and hail damages. October 2, 2014 I had a storm with lots of heavy rain, wind and hail the blew the shingles off the top of my home leaving it expose, Per the roof contractor under the existence shingles water have soak the felt. I file a claim on October 3, 2014 stated some one would contact me in 72hrs. It was 10/10/2014 before adjuster came , he inspected the roof alone with the roof contractor and wonted to patch the roof in area where the shingles came off, and stated other parts of roof that also had damages they would not be covered by Allstate, states because that the shingles when my home was build was install incorrectly.
