Our primary doctor retired. We chose Dr. Mark Gottlieb as our new Primary Care Provider. We are insured by United Health Care AARP.Jan 16 2015 We called United Health care to have Dr. Gottlieb added as our Primary while we were in the doctors office. (We did not know we had to list a doctor prior to the visit to a brand new doctor. What if we did not like him?) After dialing UHC, we were on hold 30 minutes. I was called in to see the doctor so I gave the phone to my husband. He held for another 30 minutes. We finally hung up and called later in the day. We received the recording that all reps were busy. Wait time over 15 min. We gave up for the day. Monday my husband called again. He spoke with a rep that claimed she found Dr. Gottlieb and added him to his record. I did not know the status of my account so I called on Friday Jan 23. There was no record of any change in my account. I asked for a supervisor. I was transferred to Supv. Shanay. She promply called Dr. Gottlieb's office to get the info she needed. She updated both accounts which took about 30 min. This should have never happened. There is no reason for a rep to make these kinds of mistakes, leaving the patient in the middle and not updating the records. Had I not invest... Read More

I chose WellCare for my Medicare pharmacy supplement. CVS is the mail order pharmacy of choice for WellCare, but I received unsatisfactory service from CVS, so I switched to Walgreens pharmacy. Walgreens pharmacy provided all of my tier 1 medications at no cost to me. Walgreens has an advertisement stating they provide mail order pharmacy service, so because Walgreens is listed as one of WellCare's preferred pharmacies, I had no idea the Walgreens pharmacy was different from the Walgreens mail order pharmacy and I signed up for my meds to be delivered to my home. The first shipment of medications I got were $154! The same meds I had received from Walgreens pharmacy at no cost to me. When I called WellCare to ask why this happened, the explanation I got was that Walgreens mail order pharmacy was NOT a preferred mail order pharmacy for WellCare. I explained why I had chosen not to continue with CVS, and that they had referred me to Walgreens, and that I had no idea Walgreens pharmacy and Walgreens mail order pharmacy were not the same thing. I immediately asked to have ALL orders cancelled, and I cancelled my enrollment with WellCare to be effective 12/31/2014. I then received yet another shipment of medication to the tune of $190.... I had a car accident on Nov.15, 2014 by a driver that had Progressive insurance. I contacted the insurance on 11/16 and I was given a claim number and was told by Richard Dodson that he will be handling my claim. I called on monday 11/17, 11/18, 11/19 and on that day Richard stated that he could not get a hold of the driver that hit my vehicle. I explained to Richard that my car was at the shop because it was not drivable and that I needed a car he said that it may take 3 weeks before he had an answere. I went to the shop and met with the adjuster, I explained that I had no car and I showed him the police report that indicated that the other driver was at fault and that he had fleed the sceneof the accident, the adjuster said he will try and get a hold of Richard and expedite the claim, I explained that I had no car and that I will get the cheapest rental and when Richard decided to fix my car then he can also pay the rental. I called Richard on Nov. 20, 21, 22 and finally I called the main number and was told that my case was transfered to Andrea Miller so I called Andrea and she said that they will accept responsibility for part of the accident because the other driver said that a semi truck made him hit my car so I had to track... I was (falsely) arrested by SWAT on 01/02/2014. I was in jail 01/02 thru 03/14/2014. city employees (Code enforcement) took our dogs (chow, golden retriever) and 7 cats. The city wouldn't let my wife in the house for 8 days. Meanwhile SC EDISON shut off the electricity and ruined the food in 3 refrigerators and 1 freezer. Had wife been allowed to enter the building the SCEdison bill was right on my desk. We had to replace all the carpet and tile because "it reeks of cat feces and cat urine" = a blatant lie. But we loaded everything in the house into the P.O.D.S. and r & r'd the old carpet & padding. A guy claiming to be a handy man helped himself to $3,000 of my electronics, tools, DVDs, Laser disc player, LED clock, floor jack, 35 quarts of oil, 2 battery chargers, 1 kitchen chair, 2 Altec speakers, cross gold pen set, wife's lingerie and heels, mini-jukebox light square, Black's Law Dictionary and entire para legal course ($1,000) , 2 book shelves, 17" Dell laptop, Nikon camera, Hanes nylons X40 (boxed), bottles of liquor (mostly bourbon), football helmets/ bubble gum dispensers (novelty from Walgreens, Dubuque, IA) Star Wars figurines (original ) 1st 'investigator' came out, took photos, left 2nd 'investigator' came out,... I've had a car accident where I'm 0% responsible and the other driver had AAA insurance. After blackmails, they have stolen my car (I'm not their client), and did a lot of criminal and federal offenses like fraud, scam, theft, blackmail, perjury, corruption, obstruction of justice. Even my own insurance, Progressive, covered up their offenses by erasing my complaint at CHP Santa Cruz... I filed a federal complaint against more than 30 persons. A lot of lost and waste time to fight those FuBa, even protected by California Department of Insurance, Dave Jones its commissioner and the governor, Jerry Brown. California means Banana Republic. Not a state of United States... I am writing on behalf of my Mother who lived in an assisted living facility in DuBois, Pa. In that facility she fell and broke her hip. She was sent to the hospital where she had surgery to put screws in the break. A social worker there contacted Mom's Health insurance to facilitate a rehab session in a nursing home . The insurance approved this request. The Dr had said 6 week rehab. So I get a call that her insurance company cancelled coverage after 20 days. I sent in an appeal and was denied. How do these things happen after a company approves a stay and then cancels coverage??? My Mother is 91 yrs old and does not deserve this kind of treatment. How is the average person to pay for this stuff? I thought Obama Care was to fix just situations. No one can be denied for a condition. Now a new insurance is taking over Jan . 1st. What are we to do now? Who do we complain to?... Read More
