Insurance Complaint against: State Farm Insurance
Coverage Type: Renters

  • PolicyHolder Service - Inadequate Service
I called my agent on the morning of Feb. 6 (today is Feb. 8)and, after not receiving a call back, I called the agent's telephone number again last night. A lady, who was supposedly answering a State Farm number, told me that she would leave a message for Justin (972.943.9858) and she said she would leave the message for him to contact me. I still have not heard from him. I want to cancel my car insurance with State Farm because of this lack of communication. This is horrible customer service. I've only had the insurance for less than one month and if this is a sign of service, I don't need this.... Read More

Old Dominion was given Authorization to care for an infant at least 2 year of age with a g-tube and complex problems including seizure. The agency obtained authorization and Billed Southern Health the contract rate. We received the check for less than what was billed for. "THE PROBLEM IS THAT SOUTHERN HEALTH THREATEN THE AGENCY AND TOLD US TO SEND ALL THE MONEY BACK AND THAT WE SHOULD WORK FOR FREE". There was continuous continuous dialogue which is now ended. Specifically, The referral came in, the agency accepted the patient. The infant child was cared for per MD orders. Southern Health was billed according to Contract rate. Southern Health latter send a demanding letter stating we had 45 days to return all the money and work for free. Southern Health claimed the agency was paid $100.00 per hour. The claim total was $8400.00 and Southern Health paid 8113.00 for the servic3e. The agencies bill rate was $80.00 per Souther Healkth revenue code of 0551. Southern Health stated that they will pay us $9.00 for RN and $9.00 for LPN because they have a contract with Medicaid to pay this amount for a patient in the EPSDT Waiver program. This is the incorrect rate for this program. Southern Health wants to pay $9.00 for the service and h... Read More

Insurance Complaint against: Aetna
Coverage Type: Health Insurance

  • Claim Handling - Unsatisfactory Settlement/Offer
My employer Westfield Insurance took premium payments from my paycheck for Aetna Health Insurance. I told them I did not need this insurance for my husband as he had Medicare and secondary coverage through his employer. They said they could not stop this as it was already January. I now find that Aetna has asked the physician to reimburse them for payments and I am now given a bill from Aetna and my husbandís doctors. I paid monthly for this coverage and now Aetna will not cover expenses. How do I get them to pay this bill?... Read More

I recently signed up with Healthspring medicare supplimental insurance. The first problem---- Before I signed up I talked to the representative in lenght about their prescription coverage, specifically MARINOL, a very expensive ($1300/30 day supply) drug, I asked him what my cost would be and was told $8 copay. I asked if it was covered the donut holeand was told yes. I asked him this no less than 6 times to the point of him getting annoyed, but wanted to be crystal clear that this drug was covered. I was covinced that this would be the best plan knowing that it would cover well over $15,000 cost of just that 1 medication, not including the other 10 medications I take. After I got my first prescription filled (with the $8 ccopay) I was sent a letter saying that I needed a letter from my DR on the reason why I needed this drug. He gladly sent a letter explaining that all other medications did not work and the marinol was the unly drug with successful results. I hadnt heard from them , so I called them. The person told me that that drug would only be covered for peopele with HIV or taking chemotherapy, something that should have been told when I inquired more than 6 times if was covered, something that would have taken 3 seconds to d... Insurance Complaint against: Erie Insurance Group
Coverage Type: Homeowners Insurance

  • Claim Handling - Denial of Claim
My name is Tim Cushey, I live at 2224 Adams Street in Natrona Heights, Pa. 15065. I'm having a problem with two Insurance Companies. My girlfriend with whom I live with, had a rental property at 2231 Adams St.(same city- right across the street). My girlfriend's rental insurer is Erie. She rented the property to Scott Foreman and his mother- Ruth Day(she has seen passed). Scott's boyfriend helped him move in and Never Left ( his name is Michael Salerno). We make Scott get renter's insurance because the property had a swimming pool and Scott's insurer was Travelers Home and Marine Insurance. My girlfriend was in the process of evicting them for 9Months of nonpayment of rent. On 4 Jan.2012 I was assaulted by Mike, I knocked on the kitchen door and when Mike opened the door, he struck me on the bridge of the nose with a 24 inch long bat then twice on top of my head and once across my left wrist, before I got the upper hand and restranded him (he was un injured). Mike was found guilty of simple assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Resisting Arrest (he fought with police).I tell you this because mike is bipolar and Doesn't take his medicine. Both Insurance Companies are refusing to pay my medical bills because they said M... Read More
