Insurance Complaint against: Liberty Mutual

I have been a loyal customer of Liberty Mutual for the past 17 years and have never filed a claim. Approximatley 8 months ago, I decided to take my vehicle insurance, which is also with Liberty mutual, to State Farm due to a better rate. Friends of mine who were also with Liberty Mutual warned me that they would now cancel my homeowners policy since I no longer had my vehicle with them. They were right, I just recieved a non-renewal letter stating that they would not be renewing my policy in an effort to protect themselves from future events. I called them to get a better explanation and they advised that I was ramdomly chosen. What a coinsident that everyone that has cancelled their auto insurance is also ramdomly chosen. This should be illegal that they can get away with practices like this....

After nearly 20 years been a loyal customer of AFI our family is not getting any support.
In October 2012 we contacted American Family Insurance Company to report a sinking problem of the slab in the family room. Property claim adjuster came to see the problem and he determent that slab is sinking due to "settling". We questioned that conclusion because the house is over 35 years old. Claim was denied.
Shortly after we called Plumbing company to inspect our sewer pipes which located underneath a family room and then go to main sewer line outside. After camera visual inspection it was determined and recorded that there is a sewer pipe collapse at 10-15' which places location in the middle of my family room. Second collapse is at 30-35'(location to be determined). Every time anything going thru the sewer pipe it propagates the problem by washing away grouts. The camera was completely submerged under "water" at 10-15' and 30-35'.
Next day, we called claim adjuster with AFI once again. We also e-mailed them the report provided by Plumbing company. I explained the significance of the situation, that our family room is over a lake of sewer and my powder-room is floating in the air because 2x4 are not attached to the slab anymor...

Many of us lost everything during the storm, so insurance companies were overburdened with claims. I happened to make a claim the morning after the storm. They said within 48 hours they would get back to me. 2 weeks went by and after constant calling those two weeks they finally sent adjusters. Although they seemed fair at first and after a promise of just another 48 hours. I waited double the time to get an answer on what type of settlemet money I would be getting. The settlement was far less than three different contractors were looking for to do the job. The company was not prepared for this huge storm like most of us, but some insurance companies coped with it a lot better....

I had not until just recently paid attention to a TV commercial that gives safe driving rewards in form of a bonus discount to safe drivers. I put myself in this catagory being that I have not filed a claim pertaining to by auto for over 30 years.Upon contacting my agent about getting the reward I was informed it does not apply to New York residents.May I ask why the hell not.Is the curriency used any different in the paying of premiums in other states different than in N.Y.I find this to be very,very wrong and do intend to contact the Attorney General here in N.Y. state and find this to be very discriminating.Thanks for nothing and I eagerly await your response....

We have been customers of Allstate for 25+ yrs, and had a windshield claim on our Motorhome in 1998, and another in 2012. The sewer line under our home pulled apart, and left quite a mess. We called Allstate, and they informed us that it might not be covered because of the length of time since it happened. I asked her, who goes under their home once a week to inspect. They finally did cover the expense to clean it up, but 6 months later, we got an increase in our police of $300.00. When we asked why, she told us that it is the result of the claim. We had a class A motorhome, 2 motorcycles, 2 cars, a pick-up, and home owners with them for all these years, and never missed a payment. The TV advertises that they have accident foregiveness, and you receive a check once a year for no claims. This ad is total malarky, and people should think twice about insuring with Allstate. We have changed to another co. now, and at a lower rate for the same coverage....

My husband has a lot of health issues. The last few years UHG has not been covering ANY claims. They process the claim and it says nothing paid. We now have bad credit because of all the collection agencys trying to collect these claims. Some of the claims where finally covered, but this does not take off the bad credit with the collection agencies. UHG was behind 16 months paying for my husband's dialysis. This is just one of many claims not paid.
I worked for United Health Group for 10 years until they layed off our department in October 2012. I have tried getting HR to take care of this issue, but nothing happens. My insurance ended Oct 31, and November 14 I finally recieved the form to fill out for Cobra. I can't pick up RX my husband needs because we have no insurance until they recieve the check and paperwork for Cobra. I don't know the reason the company told us we would get the Cobra information 2 weeks after they layoff which was Oct 26.
I have called the National Insurance Association and they told me that insurance companies do not have to process claims in a timely matter. (?????) So if you have health issues, you are also going to have credit issues. My house is paid off, I have not used credit cards in y...

On January 30th, 2012 I booked a cruise to the Baltics and bought the airfare to fly to Coppenhagen on August 28, 2012 to get on the cruise ship. The tickets were purchased through Cheap Tickets and I bought their travel Insurance with the tickets through Allianz. On Feb. 26th, 2012, I went to the emergency room of the hospitol and was admitted with a rare lung disease. After six days they determined the disease and later in July I was still using oxygen and my pulmonolgist recommended I cancel my foreighn trip. I called Allianz and had the Pulmonoigist fill out there form which clearly stated that this was not due to any pre-existing condition. They then asked my primary care physician to fill out a form and he reiterated that I had no previous history or treatment of a lung disease. The emergency room doctors also indicated the same.
Allianz rejected my claim saying that even though the emergency room visit was clearly 26 days after I had taken out the insurance, that I must have had symptoms of breathing harder within the previous 120 days of taking out the insurance, and they had a clause in their fine print that stated that if the insured had any symptoms prior to taking out the insurance they could deny the claim.

I will be getting medicare and I contacted an american ciontinent ins co and I was contacted by two representives and I signed all the papers to get me going. They said my ins payment would be taken out of my account on feb 1st-2013. About a week later I was overdrawn $150. This ins co went ahead and took or tried to take this out of my account but it wasnt there. I called the representive and told him about this and his excuse was : I didnt know about this and then proceeded to ask if I want to fill out another application and I told him no. I looked at my acct just awhile ago and they tried to take it out again so now i will have to close my account. This company is deceiving and I wrote and told them but no reply. Then I got papers from aetna and I guess it is through thm. Both these companys are deceiving and will try to get your money....

My mother in law is actually the one insured by Unified Life insurance company partnered with Optum Health Allies but my sister in law and I have been the ones making the phone calls to make sure things are being done accordingly, which they aren't. My mother in law had no health insurance, the place where she works doesn't offer any. She found out in May of this year that she had cataracts in both eyes and was rapidly losing her sight. We talked to many insurance companies before we went with this place because they assured us that they covered pre-existing conditons and after the 30 day waiting period which turned out to be a 60 day waiting period we went ahead scheduled her first cataract surgery. It was a success thankfully but she is completely blind in the other eye. Now we find out yesterday that they do not cover pre-existing condtions and my mother in law is responsible for this outrageous medical bill. I am so mad I could spit nails and am going to write a formal complaint to the attorney general because this company should be held liable....

my vehicle was stolen and burned. it was stolen from the parking lot where I work. the adjuster hasn't come right out and said it but she is insinuating i had it done.she has dug into my personal and financial life. If I could not have afforded the car I would never had gotten it. It has been over four months. The adjuster talks down to people and doesn't want or like to answer questions but she has a lot of her own. My agent,I respect. She has heard and seen the way the adjuster is. Allstate could care less. They say."YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH ALLSTATE". Thats fine as long as they are getting your money but forget all about you when you need them.I always thought allstate was the best out there. After reading other complaints I am beginning to see the true ALLSTATE. Would I recommend anyone to allstate. The answer is HELL NO. Thing is I have recommended people to them before. So everyone I did recommend I am sorry I sent you to them.I heard of someone else with the same problem as me. She also has been going through hell with allstate about her vehicle beening stolen and burned. The adjusters they have have NO heart or care about their customers just their paycheck. I know we all need jobs but come on now you need to help people...

like you i called in to the company the morning of the 29th they call back to tell me there would and appraisal service out by the 5th of nov. ha ha they did not come out unitl the 20th. and then the denials came. not covered for my first floor damages from flood nor the contents. what! and now i am fighting with the agent(weichert finanaical) would sold the policy and told me i was covered -now back pedaling stating that because of fema they can not pay the claim but sold me insurance and took my money for 3 years. someone need to get the attorney generals office on them .sea bright ,nj
