UMR/United Healthcare denied my coverage for all medical and lab expenses because they claim it was accident related. After I resolved that issue they sent me another denial letter stating it was work related and continue to deny everything including blood work. How is blood work related to an accident/work injury? This was a new diagnosis and not pre-existing which has nothing to do with work or an accident. My co-payments were $40. UMR will find any reason possible to deny payment.
Customer service is terrible and they ask tricky questions and document every word to find more reasons to deny payment. I have spent too much time doing their job by calling UMR, prior insurance companies, doctors, lab, and now worker's comp. I had to file for worker’s compensation so I can be denied to prove it is not related to work. Most likely they will find another excuse not to pay. It is stated on their website that they receive “4 million calls annually”. Wow that is a lot of unhappy clients. Perhaps this is why they are not BBB accredited....

After spending almost $5,000 in cosmtic work to my 2000 Daewoo - I called my agent at Farmers Insurance, Gary E. Randow at 6720 Regents Blvd #220, University Place, Washington 98466 (253) 212-0431. and told him I wanted what ever it took to insure that my car would be covered in case of an accident. I also requested towing and car rental.
Instead all I got was compresensive and towing. No paper after this date states any additional items that I requested but my insurance went up from $80 to $93 a month.
I wa in a roll over on Jan 2 in which time the roof was crushed along with the front window glass and scraping on the side of the car. While still i the car I attempted to call my agent but all I got at 4:08 pm was to push this button and to push that button and I gave up. With the help of some young people we got my passenger door up and I crawled out.
Once out it was a while before I called again. In fact I had the old proof of insurance on me that expired in December and I agai called my insurance agwent to provide he proof that I was indeed insured and still got push this button and push that button and got so frustrated that the officer said I should hang up.
The next time I called the insurance agency was afte...

My complaint is about the amount of money the insurance company is willing to settle for on an insurance claim (claim number 8000898818). I am not insured with them but my vehicle was damaged by one of their insured drivers. Farmers is offering me below market value for my vehicle and I cannot find a suitable replacement of my vehicle for the amount they are offering me. The incident occurred 12/28/2012 and they called me today, 1/16/2013 to inform me of their offer.
My vehicle is still in the tow yard in Corvallis, OR and I refuse to deal with the insurance company further. The vehicle is a 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4 with only 100,000 miles and they are offering me $6517.00 for the vehicle. I cannot find a vehicle like that for that price anywhere in Oregon. The insurance company appraised the damage at $6500. They have not provided me any evidence as to how they determined the vehicle value or how I can get a replacement vehicle and they have not provided any documentation as to how they determined the repair value.
The comparison I was provided was between my Eddie Bauer vehicle and 10 other Ford Explorer XLT vehicles. The XLT retails for less and thus the comparison was not made between vehicles of comparable m...

Humana Right Source is the worst I have ever had to deal with. I just joined this year, 2013. They would not let me get things set up until Jan 1st. They said Humana would not give them access to my files until then. On Jan 1st I was on hold until my cell phone went dead. On Jan 2dn I had a fresh charge and was put on hold until it went dead again, 3 and 1/2 hours later. Thursday I used a land line and was disconnected every time I was put on hold. Friday I was on hold again. I watched a movie and was still on hold. I had things to do so I left the phone off the hook and left. when I returned 7 and a 1/2 hours I was still on hold. I finally got threw on Saturday the 6th. I gave all my info including my DR and meds with phone numbers and everything else he asked for. I was told I could get a tracking number on the 9th. I called on the 9th and was told they had no prescriptions on file for me so nothing had been ordered. I had my doctor fax them everything they asked for exactly the way they said they wanted it. I waited a week and called for a tracking number. I was told the same as last time nothing on file and nothing ordered. I finally wound up on a conference call with the RX and my doctors office. I listened in while they got ...

My sister was hit by a car and killed on 10/20/2012 while walking on an exit ramp in I-95 in NC to get gas for her car. As the beneficiary for the policies, I submitted life insurance and accidental death claims to UNUM, her employer's insurance and Allstate immediately after her death. UNUM stayed in touch with me, and, in a timely manner, paid both claims and closed them ASAP. My family prayed Allstate would do the same. No one from Allstate called, but I did receive a letter notifying me that the claims were received and being processed. On 11/13/2012, I received the life insurance payout and assumed the accidental death claim was still being processed. On 12/7/2012, I received a letter saying they had requested the ME Report. I called that same day to see how long it would take to receive it, and was told by Customer Service no one knew, but requested that it arrive by 12/31/2012. After hearing nothing further, I decided to call on 1/16/2013 for the claim status and was told again by Customer Service of the 12/7/2013 request to the ME. When I asked had there been follow up on 12/31/2013, the Rep told me that I needed to make sure the ME sends in the report. Unfortunately, I became overwhelmed with anger and sadness at ...

COMPLAINT AGAINST UNITED HEALTH GROUP COVERAGE:
I had group coverage during 2012. I am qualified for Medicare Part B & began coverage Nov. 1, 2012. Even though all premiums were paid & the $1600 annual deductible had been met, United Helath Care says they have the right to move backward from Nov. 2012 & deny any claims processed prior to Nov 2012. They said its their policy to only honor Medicare if it begins Jan 1st of any calendar year. United Health Care is penalizing me for starting medicare benefits late in the calndar year. Its a racket: pay premiums, pay the deductible & then be denied benefits! As an inusured, I am denied benefits. The Social Security Administration is not allowed to move backward from Nov 2012 but United Health Care is allowed to stiff its customers!...

On December 18th 2012 I was broadsided by a girl who didn't stop at a stop sign in a 4 way intersection. My car was left undriveable. She did not have her insurance card with her. 3 days later her car was towed from the body shop that our cars were towed to and brought to the dealer. I was never contacted. After a lot of investigating I found out who her insurance company was and called them myself. They told me an adjuster would be out to look at my car on Dec. 28th. Noone showed up. I have literally called everyday since. On January 8th 2013 the adjuster finally looked at my car. Because they dragged feet so long they have still not accepted liability because they didn't requested the police report in a timely manner. It is now January 18th and I have been told that as soon as they recieve the police report and accept liability they will put me in a rental car. It has been almost 5 weeks, the body shop needs 3 weeks to do the work and the worst part is the girl that hit me was back in the drivers seat less than 2 weeks after the accident. I have been told at least a dozen times that this is not the "usual" claim. I am extremely frustrated to say the least....

I wanted a supplemental insurance to cover the 10% hospital cost my health insurance did not cover. I signed up with Humana after being assured several times that this was a supplemental insurance with no RX coverage. I can not have RX coverage from another company. They told me that was what I was getting and then proceeded to enroll me in a full coverage policy. I found out 3 1/2 weeks later that my husband and I were kicked off our primary insurance because of Humana's mistake. My girlfriend got kicked off, too. She signed up for the same coverage and also specified no RX. All of us are furious and got no help from Humana. A supervisor said there was nothing they could do. They messed up our insurance and we are the ones burdened with trying to fix it.
Humana knew exactly what they were doing when they did this to us. Either they are totally incompetent at what they do, or they intentionally misled us!!!!!...
