Thousands of single Federal employees with a dependent are grossly misled being advised they need to keep paying for dependents primary health insurance with Anthem after dependent becomes covered for Primary health coverage with the dependents employer's plan.Charges for primary coverage is then still collected by Anthem whereas payment for these uncollectible policies continue to be converted to the insurers cash drawer with little to no risk of any claim ever being paid on these uncollectible "coverages" leaving each of these devoted hard working Federal employees being duped out of approx. $5,000 per year....each!!! I called my agent, there computer is down. I called customer service, this agent loud talked me, when I asked about my policy, telling me he cannot tell me what the policy changes included. I then asked to speak to a manager, this guy left me on hold for 15 minutes and counting. Susan J Waring.State Farm CEO..is this the types of agents you ok to hire? I am appalled at your service State Farm. A supervisor gets on the phone and thanks to your agent she got on the phone with a attitude. I began talking and she cut me off and began belittling me by talking as if I am her child. Not professional at all. I hope you do a better job of picking employees because those two are worth me reporting. If I get this service, who else do you treat like that? I have been forced to use a mail order pharmacy for my medication. The mail-order pharmacy Express-scripts insists I use Accredo. This company insists I call in every refill request, asks me to repeat things two or three times, keeps me on hold for long periods of time 15-30 minutes and then never sends the medication. First they want prior authorization from my Dr. My Dr. faxes the form to the number ACCREDO provides. Still no medicine. Then they say I didn't call them to schedule a shipment. Now I am out of medication and they can't get it out to me for 5 days. They put in a charge for the medicine on December 11 but it it is now Dec. 30,2014 and I will not have the medicine this year. I don't know what else I can do. Is it fraud that they say they filled it December 11 but never shipped it out?... Read More

I was receiving long term disability insurance through the hospital I worked for 30 years. It was part of my benefit package, hospital paid for it. After 6 months my job was terminated, and I was receiving SS disability also. I decided since I was no longer an employee I was going to roll over my pension. I spoke with a person in Human Resources Dept, and she said that she would send me the papers to roll over my funds. I was never told by Human Resources that doing so would affect my disability insurance. As a matter of fact I NEVER received any kind of policy from the hospital, or Reliance Standard Insurance company giving me any kind of guidelines. After 2 months I was told by Reliance Standard that I had been overpaid, and owed them over $800.00. They said the hospital told them I had moved my pension. They said that I was only entitled to the minimum amt of long term disability $100 month. I had been receiving $762. This has put an incredible financial strain on me. I can no longer meet my bills because of this. I filed for an appeal, and was told too bad. I've been with progressive ins for ten years. Never a claim until this month. While on vacation, 2000+ miles from home, I came across a snow storm, while trying to get to safety, I slide off the road and hit a tree. I called in a claim. Progressive responded quickly, but they sent a 20 year old adjuster out to appraise the damage on my rv. His card stated he was a senior adjuster. He admitted he never adjusted a rv before, so he asked me to bring my rv to a shop. I said how? The whole back wall is falling off. He said secure it. While he sat in hos warm truck, he watched me working to secure it in 10 degree below zero temps. I drove it to a shop, they charged me 110.00 for the estimate. I tried to fax toy adjuster, but his fax was not working. After 4 days of calling my adjuster, he finally called back and said " oh, that fax number on my card was for a office we closed down a year ago". This was just one of many tactics to come of how they delay paying.. I submitted the estimate which was 10k+, he said that the estimate was useless and approved 2700.00. Got hit out of town. No response to requests for claims. Had to call for 4 days in a row to finally get claims rep which then has to request adjuster. Takes another 3 days. They are not there when you need them. I wish I could sue for lost pay and pain and suffering. No car in the middle of no where. Still stuck in western NY... Read More

This company has repeatedly increased my premium since I purchased a supplemental policy for cancer insurance many years ago. It began around $27 a month when I first enrolled in it. In a number of years it skyrocketed to around $80 a month (approx 15 years ago) and I called and spoke with a rep to complain about the price increase going so high. She recommended that I still keep the policy as it would no longer be offered as I currently had it because Protective Life Corporation (PLC) would no longer write that particular policy because it was too good for the consumer and too expensive for PLC to pay out on claims, so I took her advise (because you never know what the future holds) and I kept the policy in force. Almost every year since then, it continues to increase. When it went to over $300 a month, I contacted PLC again to question the integrity of the company for continuing to increase my premium payments and price gouging tactics. She told me a reason that because of the President (Obama) and his healthcare reform motives, that PLC NOW considers my policy "a Cadillac policy" and therefore the price can continue to increase exponentially over time. I purchased coverage in April 2013. I was given a policy and an insurance card. In May 2013 I had to have surgery. They requested my medical records after giving me insurance and declined the billings ($80,000) due to taking blood pressure medicine. They sent me a check in November paying me back my monthly payments, put it in bank. Golden Rule refused it due to the fact I had not signed the back of the check, my bank refused it and sent it back to Golden Rule. After an hour on phone they said they would send another one. It is 12/26/13, just on hold another hour and they are checking into it. This company is terrible.... Read More
