I started the life insurance policy shortly after buying a home to cover home expenses etc. The payment per month was $25.00 per month. But after my health screening it went up to 47.00 per month. The reason it went up was because my physician prescribed me an inhaler because I had been recovering from flu like symptoms and I was needing to continue to train to prepare for a 230 mile bike ride. So, the doctor wrote \"asthma like\" symptoms. So, the nurse reviewing this for the insurance company said I had to get a note from the doctor that stated I do not have asthma. The doctor provided this note and it was provided to the nurse. The nurse then insisted that I would have to have a pulmonary function test performed and then that would satisfy the health screening and I would get the lower rate. I have now had the pulmonary function screening and have asked my Insurance agent to submit this information and have my monthly payment reduced to the $25.00 and refund me the difference that I have over-payed these many many months. So, far the agent has not done anything and I have provided all the information that was asked. I have called and emailed the agent and I have not heard back at all.... Read More

I purchased travel insurance for my mom\'s flight out to visit my sister The day before she was to fly I had to take her to the hospital for uncontrolled blood pressure. The doctor\'s kept her for 8 days doing various tests to find the cause (if was not her heart)After her release she had foot pain (as she did in the hospital) I took her to a foot doctor there she tested and discovered she had blocked arteries in her leg the cause of her uncontrolled blood pressure. Because she sought medical attention for the uncontrolled blood pressure with her primary all he did was try to change her meds. Travel Guard states that it was pre-existing. How can you say blocked arteries was pre-exisiting when the doctors in the hospital did not even know. Therefore her claim was denied. She had 2 procedures in may and june and I sent that paperwork to the insurance but it was after her trip insurance dates I thought insurance was to help people when they obviously cannot make the trip because of hospitization Hope you can help Dont know where else to turn... My daughter was hit by a driver insured with Progressive Insurance. She was injured with a traumatic brain injury, lost her job, has no income, and not hirable.Lifelong devasting injury! Progressive made a ridiculous low offer that didn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t even cover half of the medical bills. Beware of them. They take customers money for insurance to pay out when someone is injured but when the tragedy happens they refuse to pay!! Disreputable company!! Her life has been devastated. She has received nothing from Progressive and will not. Lousy company who care nothing about the victim whose life is totally ruined!! May it happen to them! If there is a lawyer who cares about people and not just making money she is in desperate need. Time limitations are about up and Progressive wins again.... Read More

Dear Mr. Jason L. Glenn, ALFA Specialty Insurance Corp-Since you did not answer my wife\\\\\\\'s e-mail, I will try to see if you answer my e-mail. I was contacted by State Farm this morning and told that they are awaiting your findings on Claim- policy ** Undisclosed driver . I received a letter from you yesterday stating the claim is being investigated. As I stated during our phone conversation, which was recorded, I am holding off repairing my vehicle until you contact me and/or my State Farm claims Rep. Harold Lewis. However, the fact that we are coming up on 2 weeks and you told me it will be at least 3 weeks before you (probably) deny this claim. I do not have an answer (or a driveable vehicle) while we wait. This is frustrating, unfair and poor customer service, I have State Farm Rep. Gordon Metzgar (Jonesboro) telling me that in his 40 year career, he has never heard of something like this happening, and that Alpha Insurance is well known for this type of stalling tactic, hoping the customer will become frustrated and simply pay themselves. I am writing to our government about health insurance making decisions of basic healthcare and I would like an explanation. Back ground had surgery on my right knee meniscus tear fixed about 10 years ago awesome job was done. Playing a sport last two years platform tennis looking to get ranked in the top 250 after two years. I am playing 3 weeks ago and during a point I feel like my knee is unstable and my give way something wrong. Try and play on but just not right so I stop. When walking over the next few days every now and again turning or coming down stairs something is not right about my knee. Not sure what be just feels like something serious is going to happen with the wrong move. I am almost 52 in good shape and always playing sports. I decide to go see the same doctor about my knee. X-ray is performed, exam is performed twist, bend, touches the knee can not find anything wrong. X-ray comes back doctor says your knee is in great shape. So what is the next step. Doctor says well the next step would be an MRI to look at the soft tissue however lets see what happens by you go back home and if you still feel there is an issues or feel it is getting worse let me know. Issued a policy for one amount but when I received the payment notice it was much higher, my agent nor I could not get any explanation from Allstate, after the second letter to management I received a letter that did not answer why the issued policy and payments were different, in fact his or her rambling would have been an insult to a eight year old.... My husband and I signed up for Medicare Advantage coverage with Lovelace HMO. The website listed doctors in network. My husband saw the cardiologist on the list after seeing PCP to get a referral and number. While waiting to get in with cardiologist Blue Cross bought Lovelace. Now they say doctor is not in network and we did not have referral number since number was issued before they bought Lovelace and we will have to pay the $5,000 bill. Also $10,000 in claims for me are denied, the reason given is I have insurance through my employer. I left the employer in August of 2013. BCBS customer service folks will not give me a number to fax a coverage ended notice from the last insurance. ONe claim was denied for a mammogram because they say it is not covered. The service is listed in the covered benefits section. DO NOT sign up with this company you will be very sorry and stuck with bills you cannot pay.... Read More

I HAD 2 INSURANCE POLICIES ON MY UNCLE , HE PASSED AWAY ON 06/13/2014 I HAD A FINANICAL HARDSHIP A FEW MONTHS PRIOR TO HIM PASSING , GLOBE LIFE CONTACTED ME TO OFFER ME HELP WITH PAYING MY PREIUMS IF I COULD PAY FOR 2 MONTS ON THESES POLICIES THEY WOULD PICK UP THE OTHER 3 MONTHS WITH NO PENTALY NO CANCELLATION AND NO GAP IN THE COVERAGE , THIS WAS DONE ON 05/01/2014 AND IAM SAD TO SAY THAT ON 06/13/2014 MY UNCLE PASSED AWAY I HAVE HAD THESES POLICIES SINCE 01/13/2012 AND THEY WERE PAST THE 24 MONTH PERIOD GLOBE IS DISPUTING THIS CALIM IT HAS BEEN OVER 1 MONTH SINCE MY UNCLE PASSED AND MY FAMILY IS IN FINANICAL HARDSHIP DUE TO PAYING EXPENSES FOR HIM AND WE ARE ON THE VERGE OF LOOSING OUR HOME AND ALL UTILITES ARE SHUT OFF DUE TO THE DELAY IN THEM PAYING OUT ON THIS POLICY BECAUSE WE HAD TO USE OUR HOUSEHOLD MONEY TO TIE UP LOOSE ENDS WHEN HE PASSED SO THIS LEFT US UNABLE TO PAY OUR FINANICAL RESPONSEIBLITY , WE THOUGHT WE WOULD GET OUR MONEY BACK FROM THESES POLICIES SO WE USED OUR PERSONAL MONEY AND WITH THIS DELAY AND GLOBE CONTESTING THIS POLICY WE WERE UNABLE TO PAY OUR BILLS AND THE EXTENTION WE HAD ASKED FOR HAS LAPSED DUE TO GLOBE TAKING OVER A MONTH THEN JUST TO TELL ME THEY ARE NOT GOING TO PAY OUT ON THIS CLAIM DOSE ANY...
