Insurance Complaint against: Farmers Insurance Group

I had car accident June 22, 2013 an Client of Farmer Bureau Made a left turn in on coming traffic, ME. The non-adjuster contacted me once and gave me the claim number a week later. The police report showed that her client was at fault. Seven weeks later when I had not been contacted regarding repairs to my car or medical expense or my lost work, I was told that I was going through my Insurance as though TN was a no fault state, it is not. They have paid for the repair to my car but have told the doctor they need more information from me. They have not contacted regarding that information. As to my lost wages and pain and suffering I have been told that I need to get a form they wont send and have my employer, main office in Pakestain complete to prove I have a job. They have no interest in settling this claim and I guess I may have to file against the other drive to get a small claim, to the insurance company, I only missed two weeks work, setttled.... Farmers is terrible. I have been a loyal customer for 28 years 10 years on condo insurance and 18 years on my home. I have been recently increased from $1850 to $4630 without having a claim. NOTHING has changed about my house and there have been no fires, claims or change in the house. When I first learned of the change, I called the office of my agent Andy Yee and was told that it was probably a mistake. I was told that someone would write me back. NO ONE ever called back. I received the bill without explanation. This is POOR customer service and Farmers has certainly made money off me with my home insurance. I also have 2 cars and umbrella liability coverage with them. There is NO LOYALTY to customers and very poor service. I have canceled my policies and reported this to consumer reports as well as other agencies that rate insurance. TERRIBLE SERVICE and would never use Farmers again.... Read More

I had an auto accident and have been getting reimbursed for my prescriptions due the accident. Even after Walgreens faxes the info over to the person handling my claim, Angela Murphy, or Karen Calis, I still don't get the checks. When I call to check on when they are sending the payment, they have all kinds of excuses why the check hasn't been sent. Its the same info month after month and they still hold off on sending the payments! What can I do before I have to get a lawyer?... Read More

Almost 2 years ago i got into an accident with another vehicle i was coming out a Walgreen turning left and i didn't see this other car coming straight and i hit her we exchanged information and she said they would be in contact with me. I then went to police station to report everything they said if there was no injury to a person then there doesn't have to be a report. The next day i went to my insurance company MAGNUM INSURANCE which is an agency (at the time i wasn't aware of so) to report the accident gave them all information drew a picture of the accident. They then told me they had everything under control so i left it as is. after a while American Family which is the insurance the lady had called me to also get information which i gave and that was that didn't hear from them again. almost a year later the doorbell rings, it was a police offer telling me i had just been served and gave me a paper. It read that i was to be summoned to court because i failed to pay for the damages of the car. A couple days later my mom took that paper back to magnum to see what they were talking about because our understanding was they had already "took care" of everything they then took the paper made copies and said i didn't have to go to ... I purchased Allstate auto insurance for three vehicles on-line and paid two months in advance. I recieved temporary insurance cards and they said they would send the permanent ones. Instead I got a huge package requesting a ton of information, which I sent in as requested. Weeks later, I hadn't heard a word, so I called the local agent they assigned me on-line. They looked my policy up, told me that I had two more pieces of paperwork to submit, which I immediately faxed in. Weeks later, still no word, other than an e-mail about my next payment due date. The payment was for the amount I had agreed to. Weeks later, a packet arrives. Allstate had dropped my high school daughters car insurance on her vehicle back to the day I had purchased the insurance without any notification...essentially, the car had been uninsured for two months without us knowing it. They then increased my policy going back the two months as well. I cancelled immediately but they are insisting I owe them the increase in the policy, regardless of their absolutely horrible customer service and their complete lack of regard for the law.... Back in May I broke my tooth on a bone. We were to settle, but at the last minute they lied and said we did not get the Bone, They got the bone and also got the rest is my teeth because of the damge that was done, and the Dentist had to pull all my lower lower teeth. All I asked for was $1,250.00 to be fair. There were several people handling my problem. They admitted the problem, and I also forwarded the Dentist,s the Xrays and papers to go along with it. Alpha auto insurance is the Worst to deal with every time I called them it was a 12-20 min wait until I got any one on the phone and when u do get through u still have to leave a message and then they'll call u back so after they give u the run around and they try to over talk u .My auto insurance person was "" Chad Simmons" The worst adjuster ever of them all he wasn't trying to help me get my car fixed and I went to court over the accident I was found not guilty that that accident was not my fault and he still payed the other person 1300 for absolutely nothing this was on 9-9-2013 . hi I have a problem, I have health ins. with united health care, my wife is covered under me, she also has ins. with APWU, and I am covered under her, so we both have two ins. but the problem is that she has a brain tumor, and in need of a lot of medication, her ins. is primary, and seizure medication is very expensive, her ins (APWU)did their part, but United health care denied to pay anything, and my part for just part of a month was 113.00 and a full month was 200.00, I think that united health care should at least pick up some of the payment, thank you... scheduled for stress test for heart issues,history of heart disease,arrived @ hospital registration,was explained options on financial responsibility,test was totaled @ 10,200 dollars,because of having PPO (ins. type)total was reduced to 7,900 of which ins.will pay 6,700 leaving me with out of pocket 1,200,if I paid it that day it would be reduced to 780 dollars.asked if I waited 30 days to pay,they said then it would be 1,200 dollars.If they can discount the total 2,300 and the out of pocket 420 dollars,why can't they eliminate out of pocket for patients. I pay 4,000 a year for insurance plus 3,000 in deductibles. I am 60 years old w/a wife that is by-polar.
