Last year our homeowners insurance DOUBLED, I am disabled and on a fixed income. I had to go to the Office of our agent Dan Odem, we had to reduce some of our coverage, which I did not like.Then we had to make arrangments to pay it twice a year not just once as we done for 12 years, $2,355.00 a year is alot when you have to cut out other thinks, like gifts for the grandkids for Xmas, birthdays etc. I am very upset, I am a transplant heart recipient and don't need these extra coming, when my income is not getting any increase in years.... I was a victim of a fire on December 20, 2012. My policy amount is 25thousand. I was given 15 thousand, and I'm suppose to collect receipts, spend the right amount and they give me some money back( maybe) I have requested all of my policy money.They say that if my loss adds up to the amount I'll get it. But they have put a good size depreciation amount on everything that it doesn't add up. Ill Never get all my policy amount, and its not right or fair. They say that I have 2 years.That Don't realize how sad this is. I can't do this for all that time.I'm still upset and crying over this. I'm not 25 or 30 years old with a husband, that can start over, I'm 59 years old with a lot of memorabilia that I lost. My daughters report cads,school stuff and pictures. just to scratch the surface.I lost a live Bird. I would just like to start over. I was living in a hotel for two weeks, now I live with my Daughter.I have purchased some things but I wont be able to buy most things until I move out on my own. I also have 2 grown adult daughters. I had a lot of memories in my home. I had to put a value on those things. They put a value on them, But how in the world am I going to replace those things.They can't be replaced. Approximately 3 1/2 weeks ago my garage cieling fell throwing insulation all over. I have no objects in my attic to cause this. An adjuster came out and stated I had no wind damage or water damage. I have a 2 car garage, however only part of it has come down but the other is just waiting to happen. Since then any contact I have had with them has been only that I contacted them. I have received 3 quotes from $1,800 - $3,000 to fix this. However, once again I called today and was informed that they are not going to cover this as it was not put up with the proper screws. I purchased this home around 20 years ago. I had nothing to do with this installation. I asked if they were going to pay me over my deductible and was told NO. I asked them is this how they operated and that out of all the millions that have to pay for homeowners insurance they are denying claims that have nothing to do with us the homeowners. Does this mean no homes should be sold if they are older than so many years. I was not given a choice to select my carrier, I was given to them by another insurance company. I have worked in the insurance industry in FL for over 15 years. Unfortunately, most insurance policies do not cover faulty workmanship or general maintance. Also, with the estimates below $5000, it is recommended not to file a claim. These days, insurance is only to be used in catastrophic losses.

I am having the same problem my car was stolen with valuable items in it and everything was taken, now my insurance company does not want to pay, I am going to write to the Better Business Bureau, Securities, Insurance, and Banking Commission about this, and if that does not work I am calling a Lawyer I have full coverage on my car but insurance company Farmers said my car does not cover lost items however, my homeowners insurance does, because they are both the same! I am going to cancel these policies as soon as they settle or not?

I recently had an accident, I was rear ended by another car who was traveling at 50mph in a construction zone struck 2 other vehicles behind mine. PIP insurance paid for injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the 1st car was underinsured but within state limits. Mecury had to pay out 2000 for repairs to my vehicle. I had 2 previous accidents both small 1 in a parking lot 2011 and one other in 2012 damage my fault. I was quoted by Infinity Insurance for myself my wife and son at over $1000.00 per month! Kanawha supplemental policy under Humana. Have had a claim with this company for 3 mos. now, have contacted the company several times. Developed Shingles October 2012; United HealthCare, which I had at the time paid every claim, from primary care physician, I had at times 3 appointments per week, and the eye specialist was paid all except one claim which I failed to get prior approval. To the problem - I now have Coventry and they are refusing to pay any of the claims - saying that Shingles was preexisting - I never had Shingles prior to October 2012. It came back or rather never really went away and is in my left eye. I am at a high risk of losing sight in my left eye and this of course concerns me as I am unable to see specialist because I have no money and virtually no insurance coverage. Coventry claims this is pre-existing - coverage switched from UNITED HEALTHCARE to COVENTRY ON 11/01/2012. The total of claims not being paid is now at $977.00. Coventry is concerned that I had no medical coverage from December 1, 2010 - June 1, 2012. (I started at company I am still at on April 23, 2013. I have a 2010 ford focus that does not run right, anymore. I had a front head on collision and they have repaired it twice at collision revision, one of the so called trust shops in their network, and still does not run right. So i was approved to take it to an independent certified ford mechanic. According to the adjuster the mechanic said something is wrong with the air compressor, the adjustor proceeds to confess that he convinced the mechanic that the part in question has already been replaced and therefor new and that therefor is nothing wrong with it so then the mechanic says i don't know then, but something is wrong with the car.... Accident occurred in April 2012. I had 3 or 4 communications with Geico and 1 letter from the other insurance company. They wanted my side of the story, which I gave as well as initiating a counter-claim. Every time i spoke to Geico, the claim handler stated that she had not beam able to contact the other insurance company. Now move forward to April 2013. Geico sends a renewal rate with a surcharge because of an accident. To this point, there is no indication that any action had been taken on either side. There is no payment made. No documented contact. No response to my counter claim. The adjuster never returned my call. I'm a little upset about this.... Read More

Most repulsive song I've ever heard. I'd rhaetr gouge my eyes out than listen to this grating crap noise. Even worse is their motorcycle insurance song trying to emulate some backwoods blues guy. I can't mute the f'ing cacophony fast enough. Never mind the low budget moronic graphics. Makes me hate Geico and their product. The fact that these insurance commercials dominate the airwaves proves the profit margin. The whole insurance industry-what a racket.

my complaint is with LIBERTY MUTUAL AUTO INSURANCE.my 97 bmw was d damaged in a vandalism on feb 2013,and I am still waiting for it to be repaired after 3 different repair dates. the next repair date is set for june 26 2013.this is five months and they say they I cannot have a rental even though I paid the premium for a rental.this is not a fair practice and is a very bad way to do business.need to say I will never do business with them again[neither will anyone I can influence]... We need to take out an ad in the news paper when these insurance company act bad, if they can advertise so can we, we'll make them loose customers, that's how we can get back at them for non[payments} wow! makes me upset!
