Purchased a full coverage policy for my 2002 infinity qx4. The vehicle caught fire on the interstate, and was quoted damages in excess of 7000. The insurance company sent out the first adjuster, and promptly called me back to tell me they would cover about 900. I had to call, email, and threaten contacting the insurance commission of north carolina before anyone ever called me back. A supervisor called me back and promised to have a second adjuster come out. After about 3 weeks one finally made his way to the shop, and said he had to get a specialist (fire damage) guy to look at it. They both argued with the mechanics at the shop about the cause of the fire for weeks, and finally settled on a factory defect which caused a part of an o ring inside the engine to break apart and get into the moving parts which then caused breakage which in turn threw metal fragments through the engine making a hole for oil to leak out onto the exhaust, and onto a wiring harness. The heat from the exhaust caused the wiring harness to ignite. Liberty mutual said that the verbiage of the policy, obviously some very tiny print underneath where my policy says FULL COVERAGE, limited them to only fixing the damage from the fire, not the mechanical breakage.... 60 YEAR OLD SEIZURE PATIENT AFTER BRAIN SURGERY 33 YEARS AGO. ALTHOUGH IAM STILL SEEING MY NEUROLOGIST AND HAVING SEIZURES THAT REQUIRE HOSPITALIZATION, CIGNA HAS DENIED MY CLAIM STATING AFTER A FCE MEETING STATING THAT I AM ABLE TO RETURN TO MY OWN OCCUPATION AS A CLAIMS EXAMINER. I HAVE SUBMITTED ALL THE EVIDENCE I CAN AND STILL IAM DENIED. I HAVE 15 PERSCRIPTIONS. SOME ARE FOR THE SEIZURE DISORDER AND THE SIDE EFFECTS OF THE MEDICATION FOR THE DISORDER, STILL IAM DENIED. WHO IS GOING TO HIRE A 60 YEAR OLD HAVENT WORKED FOR OVER 30 YEARS WITH PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS. I was hit by a girl with USAA insurance. She admitted everythig. USAA psid for my car but is refusing to pay for my medical bills. I did not want to file a law suit, I just wanted my bils paid. Nothing else. I did everything they have asked and followed their instructions. Now they say since I did not file a law suit thy do not have to pay. On Feb.23, 2011 a representive of said company entered my home to sale me a $10,000.00 policy which no one had contacted her about this matter. At this time she told me and my husband that the policy we had with Foresters Insurance was no good. We had this policy for 6 months and had made monthly premiums. Then she preceded to fill out herself the application on said Insurance. At this my husband was confined to a hospital bed and was under a doctors care and ALA Care and was very sick. He has had knee surgery, shoulder surgery and also he was a diabetic and has had cancer, kidney failure and a stroke. After one month after I took said insurance out my husband was put on Hospice Also I have had open heart surgery and I am a diabetic and have had a mini stroke. This insurance representive filled out all the paper work at which time she marked no on all the questions concerning our health. We did not know that she was doing this. We both have not had a lot of education and we did not read what she had filled in and was not shown what she filled in but was told us to sign, we did sign to the best of ability. I am aging, but I am not stupid. I had been insured for 18 years with Farmers Insurance and had driven for more than 55 years without an at-fault accident. I was involved in a parking lot incident and found at-fault. When I spoke with the claims department for Farmers, I had asked to be informed of the cost of repairs of the other party so I could possibly pay out of pocket. I was told that this would be done. I then received a letter from Farmers stating that they had paid the claim of around $840.00 due to damage plus car rental of about $220.00. Due to this payment, my auto insurance premium had increased almost 100%. I have spoken with 11 individuals working with Farmers; sent 5 queries to their corporate website; and 3 queries to my district manager/agent requesting in writing why such a high increase, who determines it and how is it determined. I also requested in the corporate queries not to refer me to either my local or district agents as I had already exasperated my efforts with them. After several days Farmers responded by referring me to my local and district agents. To date, I have not been given a resonable explanation. I have learned a good lesson with this firm.... Hurricane Isaac wind damages filed claim. Nationwide subcontracted to boulder in colarado claims. Boulder contracted adjusters and denied claim even though adjuster sited damages and took picyures. Several claims denied says local rep. I sent request for refund of recent payment registered certified mail. Miss. Wind denies receiving even though they signed three green us post office forms. Miss wind manager laughed at me being hurricane victim twice. Manager is at least non sensitive and worst idiot. He quotes Katrina statistics about hurricane costs. I lived many hurricanes and know many insurance horror stories. Insurance denied legitimate claim, deductible depreciation etc. All mr little is concerned was his profit. 1 denied hurricane damage claim 2 failed to answer 3 written requests for refund.3 denied receiving requests signed by windstorm employee.4 not taking timely action, if I failed to pay premium within 10 days policy would cancel. Insurance has ignored claim over two months. Adjusters promised copy of written report. None given. Local office promised refund two weeks ago. No refund to date.... Read More

I called the Knoxville, TN Geico Insurance Company office to get a quote on auto insurance rates. I was quotes a rate of $146.00 for 3 vehicles. However when the policy was setup it was for $189.00 (They said there was an auto accident in 2010 that was my fault. After looking into the matter with State Farm (my insurance company at the time), I was told that it was not my fault. Infact, the person who hit my car was taken to jail for driving without a liscence, no car insurance, an a warent for arrest against her. I have tried for months to get this corrected with Geico with no luck. After getting 12 different possible solutions and faxing (along with giving a acopy to the office agent) a copy of the police report and a letter from my previous insurance company, that clearly stated I was not at fault and the woman who hit me was taken to jail,6 times and three months later I am still getting billed for the wrong amount. To make matters worse the agent, Natali Turner, is no longer with the company. However, her Boss will not help me with the issue. ON AUGUST 31,2012, I FILED A CLAIM WIH MY INSURANCE CO (ASSURANT SPECIALTY CASUALTY) A WINDSTORM DAMAGE, MY DAMAGE WAS THE FOLLOWING; THE ROOF/CEILING IN MY KITCHEN GAVE IN,SHINGLES FLEW AWAY ALOT OF MY SHINGLES ARE MISSING,PART OF THE METAL FRAMING THAT GOES AROUND THE HOUSE, FELL OFF, WE RENAILED THAT IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE. My son was hit by a client of Access Insurance on October 23rd. As of this date, nothing has been done. My son have no rental vehicle and no one has contacted him concerning his vehicle which he believes is totalled. The insurance company kept telling him (when he called) that they had to wait until they got a statement from their client. His company (Allstate) could take care of it and then go after Access, but he would have to pay a $500 deductible. This is not right. Purchased a home in 1998 and contracted with Ray Carrico of Shelter Insurance in Louisville KY for homeowner's. This spring, contacted the agent to get a quote for additional coverage due to home improvements over the years. Received a quote and I said I'd consider it. Several weeks later, a bill for same appears and I contact agent and tell him that I'm not paying for the additional coverage and he needs to correct his mistake as I didn't agree to the increase for the extra coverage. He confirms several days later and tells me he "had to pull some string to get it done, but it's taken care of..." Letter received from lienholder that I don't have coverage on Friday, October 27th, 2012. I contacted the lienholder who left a message today that they've verified that I don't have an active policy. Agent Carrico leaves a VM today as well stating that he received a call to verify from lienholder and "thought I was cancelling, so he cancelled the policy". Shelter customer service rep, Kelly Summer tells me that her system says my policy was cancelled due to "failure to pay supplimental coverage bill". Looking for representation.
