Freedom Life Insurance Company, A US Health Group Company, part of Great West-Cigna Pro My Plan ID # 52Q0500840 Phone # 800 387 9027 Found they are charging from day one (More then 9 Years) a monthly fee of $59.95 for their affiliated Company called; Southern Compliance. Asked them, why I have to be member of this Group and was told; You get additional Coverage for Accidental & Hospital Benefit. To get better Premium, must be a member of this Group. I was never told by signing Agent, about this Membership. Please confirm, is this allowed under state of florida, Insurance Policy, that person must be member of affiliated Company? I am sure, they must be collecting from all other Policy Holder and may not be aware of. Please advise me, what should I do? I do not want to have my Policy Cancelled or rate to be increased.... My wife and I both receive Medicare and we both have drug coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Masachussets. My wife as Blue Medicare RX and I have Medicare PPO Blue with Rx My wife has had a kidney transplant and takes Rapamune 1 mg daily as a immunosuppressant. Her policy lists Rapamune as a Tier 5 drug with a cost of $375.00 for a 90 day supply. My policy lists the same drug Rapamune 1mg as a tier 3 drug with a cost of $90.00 for a 90 day supply. I pay less for my policy than she does. How can the same company list the same drug under different tiers... Read More

I have had Farmers insurance for quite a number of years. I have always had a discount for military and they used to give a discount for a drivers ed program. I called my agent and found out that now they don't give a discount for drivers ed anymore. I also saw on the news the other day when the golfer that didn't like his taxes going up was talking and behind him was the large banner for farmers insurance sponsering the golf tormament. Now they can sponser these things for the golfers but can't give common people discounts for military or driver ed programs. Well I guess time for me to find another insurance company. I hate to do this but I will not pay higher rates to sponser golf games... Read More

I am trying to purchase a house on the beach. This house has been in tact and standing for over 90 years. Florida Family Insurance refused to cover my home because their policy only went one year earlier, and they said that pictures with shadows were actually mold and mildew, which is as I just stated, shadows. I have had the unfortunate displeasure of being being hit by one of Penn Nationals insureds and having to deal with the claims office at Penn. I have been in the insurance business for close to 20 years and I have NEVER seen a company use the type of delay and deny tactics being employed by this company. I was hit over 3 weeks ago in a parking lot by their insured on purpose. The other driver rammed my vehicle with his truck and caused major damage to my vehicle causing the drivers side door to be unable to open. Most times the police department will not write accident reports or citations on accidents occurring on private property but do to the overwhelming evidence in this case the officer point blank told the driver he HAD to issue him a citation. So we have a police report, we have the other drive being assigned fault by the officer via citation, we have witnesses(none of which Penn is interested in talking to), and we have the photos taken by them basically proving that I was hit dead center in the side of my vehicle. I have called EVERYDAY for 3 weeks and I am told that they are still investigating the incident. Then the adjustor asks me if I have a copy of the police report? Im like are you kidding me?! After 32 years as a policyholder, I was dropped because of 2 claims in one year. As a result, I have had to be placed into an insurance pool. This has resulted in an increase in cost and a large increase in deductible. The new assigned company (Lloyds of London) has done a home inspection resulting in my need to do such things as "remove moss from an outside shed" to "trim back shrubs from my walkway" in order to meet their criteria for coverage. I belive they are trying to drop me as well because of the 2 previous claims.... Read More

Hi Susan, I don't think Lloyds is trying to drop you. Each company has different underwriting standards and requirements. These seem like normal requirements. It sounds like you have a high-value dwelling. You should check out Encompass Insurance. They may accept you if you have a good insurance score.

on January 30, 2012, I purchased travel insurance through Cheap Tickets and bought their travel insurance which was through. allianz. The flights were to Coppenhagen and were $1785,and the insurance was $95. On february 25. I went to the emergency room and was admitted to the hospital and found to have a rare lung disease. My pulmonoligst recommended I not go overseas and filled out the doctor form sent by the insurance co. my primary care physician filled out a similar. Both doctors stated that I had no previous history of lung disease and had never been treated for such. Allianz denied the claim saying in their fine print they have a clause that says that if one had any symptoms prior to taking out the insurance they could deny the claim. They then said I must have coufed prior to jan. 30. Please be advised not to purchase tickets from Cheap Tickets especially if you are older as anything that happens they can always claim prior symptoms. Need to have hip or knee surgery, you mus have had prior pain symptoms. Have heart trouble, you must have had a chest pain etc. Terry Olson... Read More

It is not acceptable to have to wait so long for an adjuster to comeand see the vehicle, it is going to take more than a week for an adjuster to come an look at my vehicle so it can get repaired by a bodyshop. At first it was going to take over half a month to have an adjuster come and see it, but ater argueing so much they were able to get one from somewhere else only because the local adjuster was on leave or something, whatever was the reason, I'm paying a premium to have service or claims when needed, not when they can get someone available, in this case taking a long time to get someone....
