Insurance Complaint against: State Farm Insurance

  • Claim Handling - Fraud
Son was rear-ended by a State farm client who was tailgating him on a canyon road. State Farm client was given a citation by police for following too close and was found at-fault by police. State Farm took a statement from their insured but no statement from my son or his passenger. They did not get a copy of the accident report. They found my son at fault in less than half a day and refused to pay for our damage. I finally found someone at State farm who said the investigation was handled inappropriately and that they would lose if the case went to arbitration. She reopened the claim, got a copy of the accident report, took a statement from my son. State Farm reversed the decision, but they still found my son 30% liable so they only paid for 70% of the damage. My insurance company (USAA) also investigated and determined that the State Farm driver was completely at fault.... Read More

This company swapped coverage rates on my two vehicles and put me at a much higher rate. i paid my insurance for six months in advance.i bought a new car in may and they sent a bill for increased premium which i paid.i bought a new truck in july and they sent another bill for increased premium which i paid.then they swapped coverage on both vehicles (both have same coverage except truck is insured at a lot less mileage because it is hardly driven)this swap made both policies go up and they sent me two more bills which i paid.then i called them and found out they had swapped the coverage and told them to fix back.they sent me back 12 dollars on truck after i paid over 90 dollars on the two bills sent.on my car they sent another bill for 118 dollars.at this point i called another insurance company and was quoted a rate of 50 percent cheaper then i was being charged.i canceled both policies on july 19.they sent a check on the 23 for 197 dollars on my car after i paid over 800 dollars (had used 3 months/half of premium).i did not recieve anything on my truck.i have called over 15 times since july 23 and as of today august 25 policy is still not cancelled and have not been reinbursed.every time i call the agent i am told that the zone ... My home that I had lived in 40 years burned. It was an old wooden home, so it burned fast. They said it had been started by someone pouring something on floor. They found no solvent in carpet wood or even dirt under house. Sled said it was not arson, but electrical. Allstate questioned me, gave two statement, one to an attorney. They told me they found no evidence of arson, but left arson as final decision. Would not give me a copy of investigation. Took almost a year for them to pay.... Read More

AAA insurance held our estimates for auto repair against their system. AAA issued a check $150+ lower than the lowest claim to repair our car. AAA says the after market parts are good enough and repainting instead of replacing a damaged grill will be fine. How long do you think a painted grill will hold up? Ha ha ha... then the agent told us to sue their insured for the rest of the money. Very unprofessional AAA agents. What a liability they must be to the company! I feel sorry for the people that have big claims that have to deal with AAA jokers. I had a flood in my home while I was out of town for the July 4th weekend. It is now Aug. 27th. with no resolution. I don't have enough money to replace my ruined furniture. I don't have enough money to replace my kitchen cupboards. I can't live in my house because it is declared unlivable. I am being very patient and polite. But, after they sent out the checks they thought would cover my damages, they began stonewalling me. Now my Claims Specialist is calling me "Hon" (Honey) How condescending is that? Insurance Complaint against: Allstate

We have had some major hail and windstorms in my area in the last 6 months. I hired a roofer to come out and look at my roof and shows major windstorm damage. Had an Allstate adjuster who is from out of state and was not even able to make the decision. He had to take pictures and send them to someone in TX. to look at them and make the decision. That guy was not even here to look at the roof first hand. How can someone make a decision by just looking at pictures. My roofer says there is no way to repair my type of roof it needs to be replaced but Allstate is only willing to repair 56 shingles on my roof which is not possible since repairing will cause more damage to my roof. I am making a complaint with my State Attorney and the State Insurance regulators. Once I get my roof repaired I will be dropping Allstate. I will not recommend Allstate to anyone they do not like to pay out on homeowners claims.... Read More

Unfortunately, most insurance companies are paying for roofing in this manner now in Illinois. They will only pay for the portion of your roof that is actually damaged. I do have a couple insurance companies I contract with who offer endorsements to cover a larger portion if you ever have damage again. I would be more than happy to provide you with a proposal. I informed them at the start this was for a rented unit, but they cancelled my policy because I would not switch my homeowners policy and other business to them. I was supposedly sent a letter a year ago, but never received it and when I called the agent more than a dozen times to inquire about my renewal they failed to call me back until I contacted another agent. They had a record of my calls and lied about notifying me.... Read More

as a auto dealer we must verify customers insurance. my customer 7 days ago changed her policy status removing a 2003 merceds and adding a new purchase 2010 toyota corolla the policy number is 985518649 effective 8/13/12 we the sellars and the lienholder Independent Dealers Advantage have been trying to verify all this time we have faxed and email documents that say the vechile is covered yet your lienholder line and then I tried to contact the agency (Mikford agy) phone # 7063352600 the hung up on me. I never like to complain, this company was the most unprofessional business I ever dealt with!!! Rude, talking to me like the tree that went into my house was my fault not the Teaxas Storms that came thru our area. Didnt care I was a customer for over 20 years. Im over 50 and they were suggesting that I should have got on the roof when it happened, and covered up the damage( Even tho the tree removal company, told me it was imposssible that I could have done anything, but extremely dangerous. ..!!!) Rude to no end!!! Told me they woulnt cover( my contents that were damaged) even before they came out and looked at it. Insurance rep said he believed I caused the damage when the over 30 ft tree put the 5 foot limb thru my roof because I didnt cover it!! I cant even tell you everything they have put me through! Just run the other way if someone asks you to be a Farmers Client! I plan on talking to anyone who will listen!! I called the Farmers HelpPoint line to ask for the Texas Insurance Board number. The rep took forever to get me the number and never asked why I asked for it! I asked him, your not even curious why i wanted the number? If its a complaint against your company?
