Elizabeth's complaint:
September 10, 2013

Insurance Company: Tri-State Consumer Insurance Company
Coverage Type: Auto/Boat/Motorcycle

  • Claim Handling - Unsatisfactory Settlement/Offer

My name is Elizabeth. I own a 2001 ford focus. On June 4th It was parked across the street where I reside. A women hits my car and runs off. I have 2 witnesses that saw what happened. They got the plates of the women and now the women states she never hit my car. The insurance company is jerking me around and now wants to pay only 50 percent of the damages. The collision shop gave me an estimate of $4,326.59 and the insurance company only wants to pay me $800.00. This company knows I have a witness that saw everything. He also contacted the police and waited 2 hours for them to arrive. Unfortunatley, the police did not take down an accident report because they said the car did not belong to the witness. The following day I went to the precint and filed out a MV-104 stating what happened. I am still without a car and need it to get around and go to work.
