I have been with State Farm for over 25 years. I currently need my roof replaced for the first time and the adjuster who has been assigned to our case is unprofessional and doesn't call back to a second opinion roofing company we are using. This supposedly experienced adjuster is disputing what two different roofing companies have advised him. There are two roofs on my house and they will both need to be removed. He claims there is only one roof on my house. When my husband tried to call and speak to our agent, he was told we had to talk to this "adjuster". We have never even met this adjuster in person. The couple of times my husband did get a hold of the adjuster, he asked why we are getting a different roofer? Do we not have the right to get another opinion? Can we not ask for a different adjuster? We are getting now where fast. Also, a roof was put on before I purchased the home in 1996 by the previous owner. There is a good possibility that this adjuster is wrong.
