Insurance Company: Allstate
Coverage Type: Auto/Boat/Motorcycle
- PolicyHolder Service - Inadequate Service
I purchased Allstate auto insurance for three vehicles on-line and paid two months in advance. I recieved temporary insurance cards and they said they would send the permanent ones. Instead I got a huge package requesting a ton of information, which I sent in as requested. Weeks later, I hadn't heard a word, so I called the local agent they assigned me on-line. They looked my policy up, told me that I had two more pieces of paperwork to submit, which I immediately faxed in. Weeks later, still no word, other than an e-mail about my next payment due date. The payment was for the amount I had agreed to. Weeks later, a packet arrives. Allstate had dropped my high school daughters car insurance on her vehicle back to the day I had purchased the insurance without any notification...essentially, the car had been uninsured for two months without us knowing it. They then increased my policy going back the two months as well. I cancelled immediately but they are insisting I owe them the increase in the policy, regardless of their absolutely horrible customer service and their complete lack of regard for the law.
