  • General - I feel abused by this company

My car was parked at a private residence,as I was working at the residence.A neighbor hit car and damage was incurred.Direct Insurance Co. was the company the man was covered by.In my opinion this company is nothing short of the "Mafia".They seem to be above the law or else have the law paid off.Damage to my car was $1200 to $1300.I checked to see value of my car on Kelly Blue Book.They informed me they do not use that as a guide to value.No sir they do what they want!!Rude does not begin to describe treatment and disrespect I indured from these people.A lady (which is not a word to describe her),name of Trish was so cruel.To make a long story short, all I will recieve for damages,not of my making,is a whopping$135,yep,and get a load of this,they would not accept my estimates from 2 reputable companies.Only theirs.Now if we allow a big insurance co. to get by with this,what next?Its time a little person as myself who has a cleaning business and no my car is not new and has alot of miles on it but,that isn't the point.All I expected was to be treated fairly,I was not trying to rip them off but,I in turn got the worse treatment of my life.Tell the world do not use Direct Insurance,I am telling everyone!!I would pay double for insurance before I'd use Direct.The old phrase is so true,"you get what you pay for".Amen.
