I have been involved in the personal injury end of auto insurance for the past 13 years. I have to say, beyond a shadow of doubt, that American Family is absolutely the worst possible insurance company anyone could have to protect themselves and their loved ones as far as car insurance goes. In the most recent instance, Lori (the adjuster) and her supervisor (Minh) are not only rude, ignorant, arrogant and non-cooperative, but when they try one stalling tactic that doesnt pan out properly they move forward with another. I just had the displeasure of speaking with Minh and she treated me like I was a child. She would give me no information on the status of the 5 month delayed claim and told me, the treating physician to whom the money is owed, that I would need to speak with the attorney. They made the patient undergo an adverse examination (which the doc said the patient needed care to a certain date) and then have continued to deny payment for services rendered. This has happened on at least 100 patients in the past year and a half and has gotten to the point where we are strongly advise ALL clients to stay away from American Family.
