I have been working to get my health insurance straight since 1/2/14.

I called bcbstn this morning and got a hold of someone who said that I am not covered. They show that I filled out a marketplace application and it was for plan P03s and the application number was 151107803. My coverage letter was generated for that plan 12/3 and the premium was $436.

I called on 12/23 and told the marketplace I had made a mistake and I needed to change my application and plan. I filled out another application and chose plan P01s. Application I'd was 170374623.

I was worried about the two plans and needed to terminate my cobra. I called the marketplace and bcbstn and they confirmed that they saw the new application. I cancelled my cobra and paid my premium for the P01s ahead if time. I have a confirmation number on the payment and call. Call was 133570070 and payment number 106334884 for my new premium of $385.89.

I received a package from BCBS with a letter saying my coverage started 1/1/14 on plan p01s dated 12/20/13.

I called earlier today and was told that I didn't have coverage because the marketplace termination letter was dated 1/2/14. I called last week and couldn't get anywhere. I called today, got through but was told that they were sending things over to another department that would look at the dates of the letters. But, the bottom line is that I thought I had coverage and paid the premium.

Can you help me? I have been covered by blue cross/blue shield for several years now. I was on an employers plan until 5/1/13 when I lost my job because of a long term disability. I went on a cobra and was in the hospital for 8 weeks during which blue cross was telling everyone I was not covered. I was covered but my group number changed. I purchased an individual policy through the marketplace because I now am at home with a permanent disability. I have moved my internist appointment but I'm having issues and need to get things straightened out.
