I was struck by a car while waiting for the light. The driver of the car accelerated toward the intersection where I was standing. I had to jump out of the way while she jumped the curb hitting the light post knocking it over and ending up in a planter at the end of the road the intersection was a T shaped intersection. unfortunately I wasn't fast enough and she clipped my right foot either with the tire of her car or the light post hit it tearing off my shoe and leaving me injured on the street the police showed up and put me in an ambulance and sent me to the hospital. I have health insurance and the hospital bill and ambulance was very costly needless to say this happened the second week of starting a job in San Juan Capistrano I was injured so I couldn't go back to work for over 6 months. Her insurance company said she wasn't responsible for my injuries do to and unforeseen illness so she wasn't responsible and my insurance company wouldn't even pay for uninsured motorist I believe both companies choose not to compensate this claim because they didn't want to pay for damages which I and she was clearly insured for on both of our policies
