  • PolicyHolder Service - Incompetent Employees
  • PolicyHolder Service - Inadequate Reimbursement

I had a policy with Blue Cross and Blue Shield that was cancelling as of 06/1/14. I took a policy out on 5/25/14 to replace that policy. I made several calls, which is another story within itself, to BCBS concerning this matter. I even called BCBS after 5/25 but before 6/1 to ensure they had received the premium and was told that they had and asked if I needed to do anything about the old policy and was told that the policy would just cancel. Was never told that BCBS would also force place a policy and charge my account because my previous policy was on autodraft the new policy would just automatically draft my account. Which on 6/6 that was what happened my account was debited for 800/00+ dollars and through my account into a tail spin, when a transaction was declined on 6/8/14. I am on a fixed income and every penny accounted for. I contacted BCBS today 6/9 and was finally to by a supervisor, Brandon McLain(not sure about the spelling) that the only option I had was that the money would be sent priority which would take 5 to 7 business days. This is so upsetting when a company will give you the money they took at there leisure and has no regard to the poor personnel training, poor quality of company system, and just a lack of business ethics. If you are looking for insurance look somewhere else besides Blue Cross and Blue Shield!!! I will.
