- General - I feel abused by this company
my first mistake was going through an insurance broker. I have absolutely no problem with the brokerage firm other than the fact that they tell you one thing yet the actual insurance company itself being Unique Insurance, loc: 4245 N.Knox, Chgo-60641&(773)299-7500 is their telephone number however you'll never get anybody on the phone much less a call back from your voicemail msgs left. My car accident occurred on Dec.3rd,2013 and they are my insurance company- & the party that had hit my car, hot& ran. Therefore I am left to deal with my own insurance company. believe it or not I purchased my vehicle on Nov.19th,2013 & then obtained insurance on my vehicle on Nov.29,2013. On a vehicle of this age of 10 years I usually go with liability insurance, however once hearing the Kelley Blue Book value from my sales rep. I opted to go with full coverage & enticed my fiance to do the same because he was due for car insurance as well. As luck had it,my accident occurred on Dec.3,2013 & the person who struck me left me there hurt for dead and who knows. I was also traveling with my lol dog who weighs 14 pds.. who by the grace of God was not hurt. I was in shock do I didn't feel a thing. Now looking back in retrospect it was very stupid for me not to go in the ambulance to the hospital. but I was too concerned about my dog,my accident the person who took off, the police report all of these things that still needed to be done. today is January 9th and this case has still not been settled. I feel that they are offering me a sub-standard settlement just to get me out of their face so they don't have to deal with me anymore. I feel that they have treated me at the very least unfairly from the time this whole thing started and the tow truck driver I losing my key, and having to ask me to bring up another all the way on the north side to Chicago whereas I live by Midway Airport. Needless to say I did not oblige, not to mention that their whole claims personnel including my own claims adjuster has left me feeling ignored, neglected, and betrayed by my own insurance company!! It would not be an understatement to say that I left at least 30 messages and to this day haven't. red a callback from s supervisor. After receiving there are substandard settlement sent to me in the mail, I offered to split the difference on wat I paid for my vehicle on Nov.19th which would have been $500' more than this settlement that they had already offered me. they flatly refused
they flatly refused. even after given the fact that I did not take the option of their car rental for $20 a day for 15 days. the reasoning for me not taking advantage of that option is because it is a pay out of pocket option and being in Christmas time I could simply not afford to. they are supposed to reimburse the car company at which time I turn the car in. so there's 300 out of $500 Now who's being the difficult one? and I keep having to remind myself that this is my insurance company which I chose to hire to defend me? I feel as if I've been victimized a second time!! please I beg of you if there's anything you can do to help I ask that you please help me with this matter- Sincerely
date no return calls from any supervisor. I've even tried on my own to bring this to a close
by offering to be willing to offer the difference of wat I paid for me car, which is$500 more
then wat they are alrrady willing to settle w/ me for now. Thry flatly refused. I mean heck,
I didn't even take advantage of their "car rental" option@ $20/ day x 15 days= $300.
There's their $300 -outta the $500 right b there!! And b whose trying to be difficult here??
and again I keep reminding myself this is the insurance co. I CHOSE to represent me?
I've looked on "yelp" just a word of mouth app that's out there,, and was modified by wat these people have to say a bout this co. and they have 37? complaints with the Better Business Bureau so I guess I'll be # 38- not like they care about their customers. I'm shop beyond disgruntled, but it seems to fall on deaf ears anyhow. But the one thing we do have in this country is freedom of speech and I intend on doing my homework & filling my reports with the BBB and Lisa Madigans ofc aka The Attor. Generals ofc. I will also be putting this in formal writing
calls with no return call back or not what you meant to my calls. I was promised on two
separate occasions to be called back by two separate
and have yet to receive a call and that was 3 weeks ago. So too hopefully bring this
over a month long monotony to an end I decided to extend an olive branch and offer to meet halfway down the line the difference that I paid for my car which is only $500 more than the settlement that they already offered to me. They flatly declined. I mean even if you look at the fact that I did not take advantage of their car rental that they would have had.to.eventuslly reimburse, that's $300 of the $500 right there. the reason I didn't take advantage of their car rental is because it wasn't out of pocket expense at Christmas time and I could not afford to do that. They make everything so convenient... for them.
supervisors in yet I've received no telephone call to date and that's been over 3 weeks ago.
so to bring this over a month monotony to an end, I offered to split the difference from what I paid for my vehicle which is only $500 more than the settlement that they're offering to me now.I thought that would be a fair compromise.
even considering that I did not take advantage of their rental car off for that
supervisors and yet I have received a call from either supervisor. So this has now gone on for over a month. to bring all of this monotony to an end, I offered to split the difference of what I paid for my vehicle which is a $500 so
