this weekend after seeing my doctor about an internal bleeding issue I was told by my md he wanted me to get a cat scan immediately. My insurance is emblem health HIP prime HMO my doctor who is in their plan put in a referral to zwanger pesiri we got an approval but they needed a specific approval for them and even though i have used them for 5yrs happily and they are 10 min from the office we were told by Health Care Partnerships who apparently administers my plan they refused to approve zwanger even though they are a HIP/Emblem provider. forcing me to go to a plan that had an office open in bayshore but i had to get there by 1130 it was 11am and i was in miller place i practically killed myself trying to get there.
i raced to get there arriving at 1138 the provider gave me a hard time after making me wait 5 minutes starting out telling me i got there to late to be seen it was 1145 and she had to go to the other side and they couldnt guarantee me services but would try to see me in an hour and a half maybe. I left angry frustrated and clearly dissatisfied with everything that happened other than my primary who was very good i am now on the phone for 30 min trying to resolve the issue but just wanted to give people a heads up about health care partner ships and their administration. I couldnt be more satisfied i only hope i drop dead from the stress and bleeding so my heirs can sue healthcare partnerships. Well after a 35 mins spell on phone i am still trying to resolve this apparently zwanger is not a provider under healthcare partnerships and hip/emblem is trying to resolve the issue i guess my beef is now strictly with health care partnerships since it appears they are restricting choice even though zwanger is a hip/emblem provider will update you folks another day call me pissed in long island
