In Sept, 2013, I was shopping around for auto liability n comp insurance for my 2008 F-150 pickup!! While shopping around, my 3rd choice was State Farm!! I talked with an agent, Andy, from the Reiss Ins and Fin Services Inc of Johns Creek, GA, 30097!! I informed Andy, an agent, that I was shopping around!! He asked me what other quotes I had n by which companies!! I gave him this information, the other companies all quoted around $65 per month!! Andy from State Farm got back to me the following day!! He quoted me around $59/month, with an extra charge of $2, the first payment!! I accepted the bid, n on Sept. 18th, 2013 they drafted $61.42 from my checking account!! On Oct 16th, 2013, I received a statement from State Farm for $100.04, which they were going to draft from my account!! I called Andy n asked him what was going on!! He informed me he had made a mistake on my account n my monthly bill would be in the area of $80, n the extra $20 to equal $100, was the difference that they say was under bid!! I truely believe they under bid my policy to get my business, then, hoping I wouldn't notice on a bank draft that they had raised the cost of my policy!! I had no notice of any changes until I got my invoice on the day it was to be drafted from my account!! When I give a bid for a job, I have to live with it, even if I loose money!! #1) they gave me a low bid to get my business!! #2) Their lower bid got my business, and the deducted my first payment from my bank account at the agreed price!! #3) they raised my monthly payment with no notice without my consent!! If I hadn't caught it they would have drafted my bank account for a sum that was much higher n not agreed upon!! #4) they attempted to add $20 to make up the difference from my first payment!!! I believe this was all done on purpose to get my business!! While they knew I was shopping around, and upon there request I shared the bids I had gotten, they low balled to get my business, with plans to up my monthly payments, counting on me not to notice!! To me, this is plain theft!!
