Hi, this is Amy.
I am actually Dzhamal's girlfriend, and I am just tired. Of seeing him going through this.
The apartment complex where he lived, got on fire (Neighbors)So, his place actually got terrible smoke damage, his furniture, electronics, clothes.
Apartment manager told them to move out, because they will be changing the roof and working on appartment.
Dzhamal called, left messages, no one called back.
Red cross actually got him and his family a hotel.
Then insurence got hold of him, later with no call backs untill he actually called the main number and told them this is not right!
Well, last week he told his claim worker Michael that he need to have his staff out by Wednesday, which is today.
And his claim rep, saying he didn't know about it.
So, contacted the cleaning company, and told Dzhamal, because it's a last minute packing/moving it might cost him over 15k, and 15k is only what he got under his policy.
Dzhamal didn't want to risk to pay out of pocket, if it will be more then 15k. And agreed to pack evething himself.
But then actually cleaning company called him back, and said we are not going to clean it, because we are not packing it.
Then we talked to other cleaning company, they said this whole processes wouldn't be more then 8 k.
Took day off work, rented Uhaul, had to pack it all in few hours.
Anyway, I was on line with insurance too.
I asked if insurance can compensate him, for all this time, moving,cleaning...
Claim rep Michael said, noo its against the law.
We can only pay pro cleaning for packing and cleaning, and if there is staff like mattresses that cant be cleaned inside.
Plus 500$ deductible.
This is too much, is is basically doing everything by him self, I don't belive its a good insurance company, really unfair.
They did got the hotel for him and his family, therr is 4 of them.
After red cross limit was over.
DO NOT GET PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE!!!
I will be telling this to all my clients, and thousands of people that I know!!!
Terrible!!!
