• Claim Handling - Delays upon Delays

My father has passed away recently and had three policies with John Hancock a Life ins. policy annuity ,and a mutual fund . Although all three were purchased at the same time by one agent they have yet to distribute any funds.I have gone to their office about 100 miles away because local agent only sell and cannot process a death benefit . I'm being told they can only process one claim at a time and after i collect from one they will file another . Everyone else has paid up while Hancock continues to keep my money . If they do this to a Million customers keeping $100,000.00 from each stalling payments adds up to a lot of money. It was all purchased under the John Hancock name this should be a seamless collection process and I believe this practice should be illegal .
