  • Claim Handling - Unsatisfactory Settlement/Offer

We had a house fire. We had a very nice person come to the house and assess the damages. We were working with a very nice person whom had approved what needed repaired and our settlement. However, no check in the mail. No return calls when we left messages. Finally getting a hold of someone, we were told the person we were working with no longer works at Safeco. We were given another person to work with whom was difficult to talk to, had to explain everything over, denied the other agents approval, and after 2 1/2 years have not settled on the claim.

You mean that you have not retained an attorney yet. Most states is three years you need to get one quick and have them bring suit for Bad Faith Claim Handling. This will get their attention. But don't wait do it today.
