• General - I feel abused by this company

I broke my ankle and had to have surgery. I purchased Hartford temporary disability insurance. I am single/57 years old with no one to help me. I was forced to return to work (in pain) even though I was off work for 3 1/2 months and paid for only 9 days. Hartford's adjuster stated that "since I sit at a desk I could work" and return 16 days after surgery w/plates and screw to attach my foot back to my leg. I cannot afford my medications, about to be evicted and had to borrow money to buy gas to return to work (a 50 mile drive, with a clutch operated vehicle that I can barely drive.)Shame on you Hartford!!!!
