After six months of paying my insurance with this company (Allstate), to complete payment for the full year. I am now being notified that I have thirty days to pay for a person I DO NOT RESIDE WITH (and have shown proof of this) and no longer speak too. He was involved in an accident in Oct of 2009 (under my insurance plan)over three years ago- which surpasses the time frame for any accidents that have occurred under one's insurance plan by another. After three years I was told I could legally not be penalized for another free willed persons actions there after. When I started my insurance with Allstate I had already surpassed the three year mark, accident occurred Oct 2009; I assumed coverage with Allstate this January 2013. Now at the end of my payment period I am being told that I have to insure this individual whom lives with his parents, (who are also covered by Allstate and who's cars were taken and crashed by the same individual last year, Allstate is not penalizing them!!) at the address of 74 Rosemary in Centereach 11720. By law they have no legal right to ask me to insure an individual whom I've shown proof I do not reside with and whom was involved in an accident over three years ago, under my plan. The only person driving my car is me, I live with my mother. And I refuse to pay for anyone's actions that are not my own, when the insurance company is not covered by law to ask this of me. I have no idea what violations or laws he may have broke after the incident, and again I have just been made aware that they expect me to insure him, with one month left for my full years payment till this January!!! I am expected once they contact me again (corporate) (cause it has taken four weeks to receive a response about proof of address) to pay whatever money they feel I should pay to insure him under my policy within thirty days. This was never expressed when I started the plan with this company, all my bills have been paid before due and again I started the policy far after three years of the accident. I even asked to write an affidavit stating that if Daniel Schumacher were to be involved in any accident under my plan that I would be held liable and no responsibility would fall on Allstate. I feel my rights are being violated and I was not given full disclosure of their expectations. I also feel they are stepping outside they're scope of rights, they are going outside the law and asking for something they have no right to. Please contact me with all feed back at phone number
