HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH SEVEN CORNERS
My father was covered under the Certificate number 11VN12-54498. He was treated for hypertension while visiting the US in November, 2012. He was free of blood pressure and off medication for several months before the particular episode that triggered the need for care happened. As it was not a continuation of care for an existing illness and there was no anticipation of recurrence, I dont agree with calling it “Pre-Existing”. The claims associated with the doctor visits and tests were denied as “pre-existing condition”. We have provided all medical records we have. SC says they’ve requested the SMG (provider) for more medical records – something that does not exist.
IF YOU HAVE PARENTS VISITING FROM INDIA, I CAN SUGGEST BETTER SOURCES OF INSURANCE WITHOUT THESE KINDS OF PROBLEMS FOR HALF THE PREMIUM – MY MOTHER IN LAW HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND EVERY PENNY FOR SIMILAR SITUATIONS WAS COVERED. I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT HAVING EXPERIMENTED WITH SEVEN CORNERS – COSTLY LESSON BUT HOPE OTHERS CAN BENEFIT!
