Maria's complaint:
June 05, 2013

Insurance Company: Fidelity
Coverage Type: Homeowners Insurance

  • Claim Handling - Denial of Claim

Fidelity insurance has refused to pay for water damage in my condo because of a occupancy clause. If it wasn't occupied within the last 60 days before making a claim, they won't pay. It's the most bulshit thing I've ever hear of.

Maria, We understand your frustration, but please refrain from posting profane language. You should contact a reputable public adjuster to look into this for you. Without reading the policy we cannot advise you on whether or not they are giving you the benefit of the doubt, but a good adjuster can figure that out rather quickly.
