I was in an accident that occured on Janury 20,2013 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I was out of town visiting family in Wisconsin. When the accident occured I notified the police and called my car insurance company to help me. I was told by my insurance company that since it is a Sunday no one can help me. So basically I was left on my own to figure out how I was going to get my car back to Chicago. I was told by my insurance company that I can pay for the towing myself and have the car towed to Chicago and I would be reimbursed $35, then I can look for a body shop when I get to Chicago. Problem is paying for a tow from Milwaukee to Chicago would have been extemely exspensive I needed to get my self home as well. So needless to say I had the car towed to a local shop in Milwaukee and had to pay out of pocket. Since my insurace company refused to help me I was left with little options. The next day I contacted my insurance company and 30 days later I still do not have my car and Direct Auto has yet to help me of even advise me on when I can have my car back. It has been a nightmare dealing with this company. Yes the insurance is chep but you will pay in the long run. I stongly advise that anyone looking for insurnace look for a reputable dealer and pay a little extra for quality service. I hope this help's someone who is looking for insurnace.
