I have been on the phone for hours with Allstate customer service reps, obviously in another country, who are unable and unfit for handling customer issues. Allstate wrongfully billed me (first sending a bill to me at an incorrect address, and then billing me for a policy that was cancelled) and then had the fortitude to send my non-payment of a few pennies over $30 to a collections agency. Again, you must realize that I have been on the phone for hours on end, being tossed around from one person to the next, and then being totally unable to reach the same customer service rep again on the phone. They won't give you a way to contact the person who was trying to help you, so you basically have to start over in the process. Allstate is deceptive in their billing practices, unprofessional in their customer relations, and inept at handling their own errors, which have caused me emotional and financial distress. A simple $30 bill has been sent to collections and is jeopardizing my nearly perfect credit scores. Again, all I can say is pitiful company to work with or to be insured by.
