  • Claim Handling - Delays upon Delays

I have been trying to obtain PIP benefits from GEICO for three of our patients, one since January 14th. I have made numerous attempts by email, fax and by phone. They disconnect by phone without my ever reaching a person to speak to. On their website they insist that I fax and/or email and promise that someone will get back to me within 24 hours. This never happens.
With the new PIP laws with the new time constraints, I can't help but feel this is a strategy on GEICO's part to save money.
No matter what their reason...this is inexcusable. They are only adding to the misery of these people who have policies with them.
Our patients have been injured in MVA and have insurance to help them. GEICO should be held accountable for their "inaction".
