I have been insured by United Health Care for about 2 years now and have always gotten my meds with a $15.00 copay. Recently I tried to get 2 of my medications and the pharmacy stated that my insurance no longer covers it. It is very frustratindg as these insurancne companies increase the premiums and decrease benefits. What are people supposed to do that need certain medications and cant afford them so the insurance companies can get rich. The insurance company gave me no explanation as to why they they are no longer covering it and there is no alternatives that are comparable to the existing medications. What shall I do? Look for another insurance company. Even if the doctor requests this medicatiion they still wont cover it.
