This is my FIRST claim against ANY Insurance company and my CLASSIC JAGUAR was sitting on the side of the road and WAS side swiped while I was sleeping. When I discovered the damages, it appears the same person stopped to investigate the damages and then RIPPED MY JAGUAR EMBLEM OFF THE HOOD TOO, while punching his fist into the hood, causing further damages! My car needs repairs AND a paint job to restore it to it's ORIGINAL condition! PROGRESSIVE spent 15-minutes looking at my car, typed into their computer and handed me a check for $500...as I have a $500 deductible!!! My first estimate was for $2,600 and included the paint job, yes, there were a few scratches on the part of the car that WASN'T damaged but if there are going to paint it to match WHAT'S THE PROBLEM!! They are replacing with used parts and will have to paint the fender, and hood so won't they have to paint the whole car to match the colors??? They also allowed me $138 for a RED fender from a scrap yard...MY CAR IS WHITE...I had THREE estimates for over $400 for the same part...IN WHITE!!! I haven't cashed the check and have been speaking with a Supervisor IN FLORIDA...she says there was RUST in the scratches and around the holes were the Jaguar emblem WAS...so they KNOW these damages were there BEFORE!!! THEY ARE CALLING MA A LIAR and saying it was TWO separate incidents so there are TWO deductibles of $500 EACH!!! I inspected my car and where the paint was scraped, I can see a rust color UNDER the white paintjob...the rust around the Emblem is because it's a 1991 and its been rained on for over 20-years!!! PLUS-they aren't honoring RENTAL CAR REIMBURSEMENT as I added on FULL COVERAGE from LIABILITY and they didn't include it!!! WHAT IS FULL COVERAGE IF NOT THIS...??? HELP...!
