Alex's complaint:
December 27, 2012

Insurance Company: State Farm Insurance
Coverage Type: Liability Insurance

  • Claim Handling - Delays upon Delays
  • Claim Handling - Unsatisfactory Settlement/Offer
  • Claim Handling - Unjustified Accusations

On Monday 11/26/2012 I drove ave Z in Brooklyn. All at once Toyota from service road skipped Stop-sign and hit my car on right side. The police officers had arrived very soon at the place and provided investigation. They mentioned it in the police report that the Toyota realy skipped Stop-sign and failed my right of the way. The Toyota was insured with State Farm. Because I have just liability insurance, that's why immediately I filed complain to State Farm Insurance the same day accident happened.
But the insurance company delayed decision as long as they can, stating they don't have police report yet. Eventually I faxed them my copy of the report. Nevertheless they eluded whole week to review the document. Only in one month after accident happened the agent with name Patric called me home and sad they can pay only 60% of my car damage, because their insured stated that I hit her car not she hit mine.
The fact that their insured violated the traffic rules which is clearly stated in the police report means nothing for State Farm.

all the insurance companies are playing the same sick profound game with peoples well-being, the farmers insurance company's very own claims adjuster, crashed into me after speeding out of a collision garage in renton washington. My van was totaled and 3 passengers and myself were injured. And the driver never asked if we were alright. But his insurance company (Farmers)told me and my passengers that I was 40% in the wrong. I was supposed to avoid getting crashed into. They wont pay my hospital bills. But thats alright because no one likes insurance companies any way and when I get them in front of a jury they will pay more than I asked for. So what ever you do, dont rush play their game and make it work in your behalf. My name is Charles and I dont care who knows it.

I am with you on this brother. no way you should have to go through these low-ball insurance tactics when they have the money from other unfortunate people, whom for whatever reason had to settle for much less than reasonable. Log all your correspondences, put together a better than good settlement demand letter, and get them in front of a commissioner of the court. I guarantee you will get their full attention then. Because no body likes insurance companies. If you can get them in front of a jury you will really be cooking.
