I sold a house in Dumas Texas I had lived there 2 yrs. I had moved to Austin the realtor told me the house needed a new roof.
Per the inspection this was 2009.I filed a claim with AIG my homeowners insurance. I had never filed a claim just paid my premuins. They denined the claim stating it was old damages. Pd
nothing. We ended up paying for the whole roof or losing our sale. I then sent the claim to the department of insurance whom had a auto adjuster look at the complaint and said there was nothing we could do. This was when AIG was being bailed out from all of there financial problems.
