Insurance Company: Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association

  • Underwriting - Unfair Surcharge
  • General - I feel abused by this company

called for dental insurance & was quoted a price of 35.00/month- but i only could pay monthly if i allowed them to take directly from my checking account- i said no- the rep said i could pay
quarterly to which i agreed- when i asked how much it was 113.00 per quarter- i questioned this as this is 64.00 per year more- i was told it was a processing fee- if paying 3 months in
advance entitles the company to a processing fee- i am quite flabbergasted- usually paying in
advance offers a discount not a penalty- i feel ripped off- my choice is the have the company
dip into my checking account every month ( which i don't do for anyone) or to pay a penalty of
$8.00 per quarter - the rep kept saying it was a processing fee ( what kind of processing fee for
paying in advance???) i feel this is a rip off.
