I am giving you the background on my claim which I believe entails fraud on the part of American Family or their representative Brad Tagliapetra of Fond du Lac.I wish to pursue a separate fraud complaint which is: He told me that my camper was worth $12000. I told him that I cannot replace it for that. He told me to buy extra insurance. He asked how much more do I want. He said do u want $10 ,!% or $20,000 . I chose $20,000 as it would cover replacement cost. I am paying $32.30 a month for this extra coverage. The policy he says I have cost $12 a month. I will send you the proof from another AMFAM agent. I emailed the CEO on down to my agent over 20 times asking why am I paying the $32.20 a month. Its not a billing mistake as I called in July of this yr to ask about my policy. Again his office stated that I have REPLACEMENT VALUE. Im still paying an extra $200 over the basic policy cost.for the yr premium. NO ONE will answer why? I stated that one of two things is an explanation. Either I have replacement value or American family or its agents are selling me a product that they know I will never see. In doing so they are also profiting off me buy keeping my money. THIS is consumer fraud.

I have American family as my insurance company. When I got my policy for my camper my agent stated that the camper was worth $12,000. I told him that I cannot replace it for that and asked "what should I do?" He said buy extra coverage. So instead of paying $156.10 a yr($12 a month)I am paying $337.30($32.30)a yr. I was okay with the price because my agent told me that we have REPLACEMENT value.Now that I have a claim they said I only have the basic policy. They offered me $6,000 as they said it would be too costly to repair. Why then am I paying
almost $180.00 more? Where is that money going to? My agent hung up on me 5 times on me a week ago.(Brad Tagliapetra of Fond du lac) How can they get away with this? Another agent confirmed that im paying for extra coverage.
A week ago American Family Corporate headquarters took a recorded statement from both I and the agent. I complained that they are acting in Bad Faith because they are refusing to let me see the initial notes that set our policy at our first meeting along with my camper policy. All they sent me when I received the policy was a one page declaration with no payout amounts. I gave my statement under protest of their bad faith. My agent stated point blank that I have no right to his notes on MY policy.
My wife a three children are extremely upset and emotionally stressed out over this. We have lost Sept and Oct as camping is to close and we have a damaged camper. I am looking for an Attorney who is enforce the $20,000 policy that I have been paying on. Another agent sent me an email stating the cost of the policy that American Family says I have as costing $156.00. So I told AMFAM one of two things is real. Either I have extra insurance as my agent told me and my wife or he is committing fraud as he is selling me extra insurance that is knows that I can never collect on. I cannot be reached on phone until 445pm at 920-921-8191.
I have all of my agents emails. I have emails where he told me yesterday to drop my policies asap. I have some in which he begged me to call him before he gives a recorded statement so we could possibly settle. He seems extremely nervous. I emailed the CEO of American and everyone on down the line asking a simple question "why am I paying $32.30 a month for a twelve dollar policy???? No one will answer this and my agent emailed me NOT to talk to him(even though I have a homeowners policy with him)
