I have had AArp discount insurance since 2008 my husband had to in hospital twice under their network hospital each time they only paid 1000.00 total for is hospital bill. The reason we could not afford any other medical insurance. We are 61 and only have limited income because my husband is on disability. The reason is they do not pay for the first day of being in hospital and this first day is where 80% of hospital bill so the patient ends up paying out of their pockets emergency surgery will be on that first day and the insurance will not paid even though you go to network hospital even if you have to travel 100 miles. These discount insurance should be closed down they are bankrupting patients but if you do not have insurance you will be taxed by the government. My husband is disable and are income is very limited and we can not afford good medical insurance.
