My wife and my brother in law had subscribed to Reliance Life Policies as per deatils given below:

Policy No:16676942, Date:27-03-2010. Annual Premium:6049/-
Policy No: 16991478, Date:12-05-2010 Annual Premium: 6049/-

In July 2012 Mr Arup Manna from Reliance SaltLake Sector V office, after calling me, had sent Mr Uttam Kr Thakur to collect the cheques for depositing towards the policies' premium. Subsequently a cheque for 12,100/- was given to him for depositing against the said policies, vide chq no: 737544. Dt: 12-07-2012 on Punjab National Bank.

To our utter dismay Reliance office issued a new policy in my wife's name instead of depositing it against the above mentioned policies. This has been done without my wife's consent or knowledge and by forging her signature and documents.

The details of this unwanted policy is:
Policy No:50280242 Date: 29-07-2012. Annual Premium 12,100/-

This is a sure act of dishonesty, greediness and a case of robbery, forgery and disloyalty on the part of Reliance towards the customer.

If Reliance or its Authorised agent can forge the signature now then they can do the same thing to collect the amount when it gets matured.

The issue had been immediately brought to the notice of Mr Rajat Banerjee of Reliance for rectification but of no consequences.


We are left with no faith at all with Reliance and will take all pains to propagate this within the circle of our friends, relatives and collegues so that they detest themselves from investing Reliance.
