I am TAKING THE TIME TO respond to your recent letter because there are a NUMBER of Errors in it. Almost five years ago, I temporarily moved to Colorado Springs to help out my daughter who has had many surgeries on one of her Arthritic and Infected legs.

1) I used to OWN a Credit Agency and am aware of how many mistakes can incorrectly wind up in people’s Credit Records (as obviously they have in mine.) Yes, *everyone* makes this claim. However, in my case, it is true. Please note that I already have ALLSTATE INSURANCE and that my recent call to AllState was purely to get a quote for more possible auto insurance coverage. I can buy any kind of insurance from a number of companies.

2) I have no bad debts. I live by myself, am retired and mostly live on my Social Security. I pay all my bills ON OR BEFORE THEY ARE DUE. On the rare occasions if/when I apply for credit of any kind, it is immediately granted. My Landlord has told me that I “have the best credit record of anyone who has ever lived here.” If any misrepresentations of bad credit are on my record, they are wrong. Thus, I never contact any Credit Agencies because I know how much erroneous data frequently gets recorded on people’s Credit Records. And I know that my record is as perfect as anyones can be.

3) If Comcast has made a claim on my credit record, it is false. Months ago, Comcast overcharged me by several hundred dollars during my changeover to CenturyLink. I spent ~four hours on the phone to Comcast trying to get its mess straightened out and to get credit for its many overcharges. FINALLY, I got to two head honchos. After another hour w/these two Comcast Supervisors, they told me that my payment from then on would be $64.70/month. I wrote down that amt. and have religiously paid it every month since!

4) Also, recently, I applied for (and received ) two Credit Cards (which I do not use) for possible use during a coming move. I have and always have used my Debit card which I have had for several years now. You can check these statements with Wells Fargo, the bank with whom I have done business for almost five years since I moved here. ( I have never even been close to being overdrawn, and have an over $10,000-dollar Savings account which is for emergencies only and which I have never touched.) And, also, have almost $100,000 in investments, the interest of which is Direct Deposited monthly into Wells F.

5) Over the past 60 years, I have had and do have an unblemished Credit record.

6) A possibility of a BIG-TIME Credit Agency ERROR may have occurred SEVERAL MONTHS AGO from an anonymous person who evidently has my name and phone number mixed up with someone else’s by the name of DAVID FRANKS. Some credit agency’s (I guess) recording calls me several times a week about some money (I guess) that a DAVID FRANKS owes. I HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD THE NAME, DAVID FRANKS BEFORE I BEGAN GETTING CALLS FROM THIS RECORDING! MANY, MANY, MANY TIMES I HAVE CALLED THE “DO-NOT-CALL” # TO ATTEMPT TO GET WHOEVER IS THE HEAD OF THAT “AGENCY” TO UNDERSTAND THAT I DO NOT KNOW ***ANYONE*** BY THAT NAME AND TO GET THEM TO PUT A “STOP-ORDER” ON THOSE CALLS. The calls did stop for a couple of weeks, but began again a few days ago. My next step will be to call a Police Advocate to see if that Agency can put a stop to them.

Please note that I would NOT have taken all this time to respond to your erroneous claims if I DID have a bad Credit Record. I definitely don’t.

Actually, oftentimes, I wish that I did NOT have such a Sterling Credit Record. Every store wants me to buy something and use a Charge or Debit card. I DON’T DO THAT, BUT ALL THESE MANY OFFERS ARE TEMPTING. HOWEVER, I DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FOR WHICH I CAN’T PAY CASH!

As far as my driving record is concerned, FIVE YEARS AGO when I moved to Colorado Springs from a very small town, I definitely was NOT used to lots of traffic. Within a few weeks of arriving here, I had one Incident at the very busy intersection of Austin Bluff and Academy. No one was injured. My second incident was when I was backing out of my allotted parking space at an apartment where I then lived. Behind me, ILLEGALLY PARKED in a signed “NO PARKING ZONE” was a humongous Ford SUV. Believing that I could get around this ILLEGALLY PARKED SUV, I backed out but creased the LEFT REAR fender of her ILLEGALLY PARKED SUV.

In their “infinite wisdom,” the Police simply gave her a parking ticket. However, I had to go to court, and take a new driver’s test, which, they told me, I passed with “flying colors!” (Of course I did. I have NEVER, EVER BEFORE EVEN HAD A ***TICKET*** MUCH LESS HAD AN ACCIDENT.)

A few years ago, I was driving slowly (ABOUT 10-15 MPH) down Flintridge looking for an address. At the end of that street (on which I had never driven before), my car went over TWO HORRIBLE, NON-VISIBLE VERY DEEP DIPS. They were so deep that I hit my head on the ceiling of my car. There WAS/IS NO WARNING SIGNAGE ANYWHERE STATING THAT THERE ARE TWO **VERY DEEP DIPS THERE!!!!!** THESE DIPS DID DAMAGE TO MY CAR AND I HAD TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. NO ONE WAS INVOLVED BUT MYSELF.

I WROTE THE COLORADO SPRINGS' DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. AND, FINALLY, AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS, THE REPLY THAT I RECEIVED SAID ONLY **“THIS DEPARTMENT IS NOT*** RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDITION OF THE CoS ROADS!

IF THEY ARE NOT, WHO IS? THE DAMAGE WAS ***NOT MY FAULT***. I INVITE YOU TO DRIVE (carefully & slowly) TO THE END OF FLINTRIDGE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!!!
